Gingerbread Charles & Subzero Loki Unlock Guide

Both Gingerbread Charles and Subzero Loki Styles are unlocked via the same method, and that method mainly revolves around using the in-game luck based Style Spins. To find them, press the Style button located on the lower side of the main menu screen and once there, you should be able to see the Spin, Festive Spin and Lucky Spin buttons which can be found underneath your avatar. Press those buttons and spin away until you have acquired the new Styles. It is highly likely that you will have to perform the Spins many times, since the chances of actually getting them are ridiculously low. Namely, the new styles are so rare that they are completely unobtainable when using regular Spins. When using Lucky Spins, the combined chance of getting either one of these two Styles is only 0.125%, so you would be well advised to either save up a large amount of them, or use them in combination with Festive Spins, which have a slightly higher drop chance. This combined chance is still, however, only 1% for either one of the new Styles, or 0.5% if you desire one of the two specifically. Also make sure to select the Gingerbread Charles or Subzero Loki under the Snowlock tier on the right side of the Styles menu. By doing this you will increase your chances of getting the new styles ever so slightly. Again, we must emphasize that it would be best to hoard as many of the Lucky and Festive Spins before you actually start rolling for the new styles. This is done to ensure you actually get at least something good if you do not manage to get the new Styles, since when performing a spin you permanently lose your current Style, unless it is of Limited rarity. In doing so, you will avoid being stuck on a bad Style.

Gingerbread Charles Style Showcase - Blue Lock: Rivals

Below is a detailed explanation of all Skills and Abilities the new Gingerbread Charles style offers inside Blue Lock: Rivals.

  • Gingerbread Dribble (on the ball): When standing close to an opponent, click the appropriate button and perform a lightning fast dribble, dashing past the opponent and leaving him completely in the dust! This is an extremely easy way to get past him, and a very useful move to have.
  • Cookie Step (on the ball): This move can be activated only after successfully completing a Gingerbread Dribble. Upon clicking the button, your character will perform a blazing fast sideways dash, which can set you up for a variety of plays. Another useful move to have, this one will help you stay unpredictable on the pitch.
  • Cookie Cross (on the ball): You can only activate this move when close to a teammate. This is essentially just a fast long pass, but still, a decent one to have. Keep in mind that the range on it is quite limited, so you will have to pick the situations in which you use it carefully.
  • Gingerbread Cannon (on the ball): This move is basically a better version of the Cookie Cross. Upon pressing the right button, your character will summon a large cannon which will fire the ball, passing it to your teammate quickly and accurately. This is an extremely useful move, as the range of it is almost across the entirety of the pitch!
  • Monster Blast (Awakened, on the ball): You can only perform this move when you Awaken. When activating this ability, you will get an epic cutscene in which your character summons a spiky log which crushes everything in its path! Afterwards, it will perform a powerful shot towards the opponent's goal. You will score practically every time when you use this one inside the opponent's half of the court, but the shot itself has even more range. It can even score (though not guaranteed) from even your own penalty area, if you aim high enough! Keep in mind that this Ability has a very long cooldown.
  • Cookie Defense (Awakened, off the ball): This is yet another ability which you can do only when you Awaken. Upon activating it, you character will summon several gingerbread men which will steal the ball from your opponent. Although this is your only defensive Ability, thankfully it is a good one.

Subzero Loki Style Showcase: Blue Lock: Rivals

Below is a detailed explanation of all Skills and Abilities the new Subzero Loki style offers inside Blue Lock: Rivals.

  • Orange Bar (passive): As Subzero Loki runs, the orange bar fills up and he becomes faster. Players who used the "regular" Loki style will be familiar with this system. Additional running speed is always nice to have.
  • Frost Acceleration (on the ball): Upon activating this Ability, your character will punt the ball forward, and accelerate even further. Speed is the name of the game here, and the faster you are, the better!
  • Frost Shot (on the ball): This move can be activated after successfully completing Frost Acceleration. Upon clicking the appropriate button, your character will perform a powerful shot towards the opponent's goal. Although you can activate it pretty much anywhere on the court, we recommend only using it half a court away from goal at maximum, as the ball will not even reach the opponent's goal if you use it any further. Still, it is a great ability which will surely net you plenty of goals, and even more so if you use it closer to the enemy goal.
  • Godspeed Freeze (off the ball): When you expect your opponent will shoot or pass the ball, activate this Ability, and your character will soar high in the air, blocking the would-be shot or pass, and then immediately shoot the ball forwards. If any of your teammates are nearby, your shot will automatically turn to a pass. This is a situational ability as you will have to be at a right distance from the opponent (15 - 30 meters) for it to have an effect, but still, it is nice to have.
  • Frost Counter (on the ball): Our favorite ability so far, and with a good reason. Upon activating it, you will get engulfed in a veil of snowflakes, making you completely immune to any attempts of stealing the ball. On top of that, it has a miniscule cooldown, meaning you can practically spam it as much as you want. Simple, useful, effective. What more can you ask for?
  • The Tunnel (Awakened, on the ball): You can only perform this move when you Awaken. This ability is essentially an insanely powerful shot, which will net you goals from practically anywhere on the field, provided you aim high enough. Simply click the right button, enjoy the epic cutscene in which your character zips past the opponent, and rack up goal after goal!
  • Sled Defense (Awakened, off the ball): This is yet another ability which you can do only when you Awaken. When activating it, your character will summon a large bobsled which will knock your opponent unconscious, stealing the ball from him in the process! A very useful defensive ability, and a cool one to round this incredible move set off.
