There are two ways to get the Inverted Mutation on a chicken in Grow a Chicken Fighter: hatching eggs and fusing chickens with other inverted chickens. Every egg in the game has a 0.5% chance to hatch an Inverted chicken. Once you get an Inverted chicken, you can fuse it with other chickens to transfer the mutation. See our full guide to learn about the exact effects, success chances, and more.
If your strongest chicken still gets thrown out of the pit during PvP or is failing to climb up the tower, you might want to add the Inverted mutation to it. The Inverted mutation in Grow a Chicken Fighter is a power-up system that will permanently boost the base stats of your chicken. This detailed guide will tell you exactly how to get a chicken with the Inverted mutation, how to transfer it to your best chicken, and what the exact effect of this mutation is.
How to Get Inverted Mutation in Grow a Chicken Fighter
Every time you open an egg in Grow a Chicken Fighter, there’s a 0.5% chance that it will hatch a chicken with the Inverted mutation. This includes every egg currently obtainable in the game, including the Colossus Egg. So, taking the Colossus Egg as an example, there’s a 0.5% chance to get an Inverted Storm Colossus every time you open it.
However, this doesn’t mean that you have to grow an Inverted chicken from scratch again. Instead, you can transfer the Inverted mutation to your best chicken via fusion. Read on to learn how to do that and what you need to do to increase your chances.

How to Transfer the Inverted Mutation in Grow a Chicken Fighter
To transfer the Inverted mutation in Grow a Chicken Fighter, you need to fuse your base chicken with an Inverted chicken. However, there’s no guarantee that the mutation will transfer every time. Instead, the chances of success depend on the rarities of the chickens that you’re fusing.
The highest possible success chance is 50%; that is only achieved when you are fusing chickens of the same rarity. For example, if you fuse an Inverted Secret Chicken with another Secret Chicken, there’s a 50% chance that the final chicken will also have the Inverted mutation. But if you fuse chickens of different rarities, the chances decrease.
The exact success chances of different rarities are unknown, but the higher the difference in rarity, the lower the chances of success.
If the fusion fails, you will lose the Inverted chicken.
Note: Fusing two chickens with the Inverted mutation gives a 100% chance of getting an Inverted chicken.
What Does the Inverted Mutation Do in Grow a Chicken Fighter
The Inverted mutation is a stat-boosting system that increases the base stats of your chicken. Compared to a base chicken, an Inverted chicken has:
- +15% HP
- +15% ATK
- +5% SPD
- +5% PWR
These boosts are permanent and will take your main chicken to a whole different level. However, since it is highly RNG-based, you might have to try multiple times to get the mutation on your desired/best chicken.
