Quinx is now a selectable race rather than a late-game transformation. To unlock it, you need to start a new character or wipe your existing one. During character creation, you will see Quinx listed in the race selection screen. Selecting it immediately starts your character as a Quinx.

If you had unlocked Quinx before the rework, you will find the race automatically unlocked on their account. However, you still need to wipe and recreate your character to actually play as a Quinx under the new system. Once selected, the progression quest remains the same and is handled through the CCG Submode questline.

How to Progress as Quinx in GHOUL RE

After choosing the Quinx race, progression begins in the Inner World at the CCG Base. Your main objective is to complete the unchanged Quinx subquest, which is given by the Hiruko Narukami NPC. Speak to him and choose the “Power is Power” dialogue option to begin.

The first stage requires consuming roughly 75 to 100 Kagune Sacs. This part can be completed through regular combat against ghoul enemies. Once finished, the quest moves into a reputation check, where you need between 70,000 and 75,000 Reputation. The fastest way to earn this is by clearing raid bosses, which award around 3,000 Reputation per completion.

After meeting the reputation requirement, you need to gather 500,000 Yen and craft five One-Eyed Kakuja Fragments. Each One-Eyed Kakuja Fragment requires two standard Kakuja Fragments and two One-Eyed Fragments, meaning you will need a total of ten of each base material. These fragments are crafted by speaking to the Damir D. Mado NPC.

The final step is the most dangerous. With all requirements met, enable Permadeath and head to the CCG Base laboratory. Speak to the Black Reaper of Doom NPC to trigger a boss fight against Arima. Losing this fight results in an instant character wipe. Defeating Arima successfully completes the quest and permanently unlocks your Quinx abilities.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is Quinx a race or a progression path now?

Quinx is now a full race. You must select it during character creation to play as a Quinx.

Do old Quinx players lose progress after the rework?

No. Players who previously unlocked Quinx will have the race automatically unlocked, but they still need to wipe and recreate their character to use it.

Can I fail the Quinx quest without consequences?

No. The final Arima fight requires Permadeath to be enabled. Losing the fight will wipe your character completely.

What is the fastest way to farm Reputation for Quinx?

Raid bosses are the most efficient method, as each clear grants roughly 3,000 Reputation, making them far faster than standard grinding.
