If you want to unlock the Plaguereaver Rod in Fisch, you will first have to know where to find it. You can buy it from Plagued Reaper, an NPC who is standing precisely at -2667.5, -317.2, -2284.8. Keep in mind that the option to actually purchase the rod only becomes available once you have finished the Plague Reaper's quest line, which has a total of four quests attached to it.

How to Unlock the Plaguereaver Rod in Fisch

Unlocking the Plaguereaver Rod in Fisch can be quite challenging as some of the quests can be quite tedious, unclear, and convoluted, but as always, we have got your back. All four quests you have to complete begin and end by talking to the Plagued Reaper NPC. Additionally, the rod itself will have to be purchased using 13.75 million cash once you have finished the necessary quests, so make sure you've farmed enough beforehand.

Quest 1

To complete the first quest, you will have to catch 1 Decayed Venom Maw. This fish can be caught during the Toxic Boil event, and you will have to use the Decayed Rod. Once you have done that, return to the Plagued Reaper to finish this one and initiate the next quest.

Quest 2

The second quest will have you catch 1 Blight Idol. The preferred bait for catching this fish is Coal. Again, return to the Plagued Reaper to notify him of your success.

Important information: The Blight Idol is a Secret fish, meaning luck bonuses such as the ones from rods do not apply when trying to catch it. Arm yourself with patience and simply fish away until you get it.

Quest 3

Completing the third quest will mean that you have to catch 1 Noxious Rotbloom. Rotbloom is a Hunt-exclusive fish, meaning that a Hunt will have to be active in order to get it. To make the Rotbloom become noxious, we suggest using items such as the Luck Potion and the Luminous Larva bait.

Important information: The Rotbloom can only actually be caught once you have interacted with one of the mushrooms located near the Plagued Reaper, when a Hunt is active!

Quest 4

Finally, to complete the fourth and last quest, you will have to perfectly catch a Witherbloom. A Witherbloom is a variant of the Rotbloom, meaning it also spawns when a Hunt is active. To turn a Rotbloom into a Witherbloom, activate a Blight Idol by left-clicking with it selected during a Hunt. Do not forget to interact with the mushrooms, just like in quest 3! Equip the best rod you have to ensure the catching process goes as smoothly as possible.

Important information: The Witherbloom is a Secret fish, so luck bonuses do not apply, just like before. Be extremely patient and keep fishing until you catch it.
