The Forge Unknown Key - Where To Use It?

The Unknown Key unlocks a secret room in The Cave, the first mining location in Stonewake's Cross, the game's first island. This secret room is called Fallen Angel's Cave. In fact, you might have already stumbled upon the entrance to this room (a massive iron gate); you just didn't know that's the room you will need to unlock with this exact key. Here's how to find it.

The Forge Fallen Angel's Cave Location

  • On the first island (Stonewake's Cross), enter the Cave.
  • Once the railway line ends (where the NPC quest givers are), turn right.
  • You’ll need to defeat a few low-level zombies along the way.
  • From there, the path splits into several directions - take the middle one.
  • You’ll spot a massive portcullis (an iron grid gate) locked with a padlock.
  • Use the Unknown Key to unlock the gate.
  • Enter the room.
  • Congrats, you've found the Fallen Angel's Cave!

What's Inside the Fallen Angel's Cave?

Unfortunately, there are no free rewards inside. Instead, you’ll find the Arcane Pickaxe, one of the most powerful (and most expensive) pickaxes in the game. The only objectively better ones are the Demonic Pickaxe and the Magma Pickaxe. However, you won’t get it for free. You’ll need to pay a hefty sum for it.

As you can see, this is a high-tier, end-game pickaxe, so don’t stress if you can’t get it right away. It’s designed to be used after you’ve grinded your way through levels, quests, and new zones, including unlocking the Goblin Cave.

Are there any free rewards in Fallen Angel's Cave?

Unfortunately, no. Only the Arcane Pickaxe is inside.
