With the latest update to Blue Lock Rivals, the Lunar New Year content had been added, and along with it came tons of new stuff, including the Volley mechanic. The new Volley system lets you perform volley shots more accurately than enough. But, for most players, this might be difficult to perform. So, to help you with that, here's a complete guide on how to Volley in Blue Lock Rivals.
How to Volley in Blue Lock Rivals
The new Volley system in Blue Lock Rivals lets you catch any ball in mid-air and shoot it in your desired direction. Do note, that if you want to perform a volley, you either need one of your teammates to cross the ball to you or accurately time it to steal your opponent's shot. Regardless, here's a step-by-step guide:
- Let your teammate cross the ball towards you.
- Hold your shoot bar till you reach the maximum.
- Aim towards your desired direction.
- Press release as soon as the ball is near you and in mid-air.
As you may have guessed from above, you'll need to perform all four actions in quick succession to perfectly pull off the Volley. For example, while holding the shoot and releasing on time felt easier, I personally had a tough time aiming properly while performing the Volley. But, with practice, you'll be much more adept at using this move in Blue Lock Rivals.
How to intercept and perform Volley
Apart from receiving a teammate's cross and using it as an aggressive Volley, you can also use this system for defending by interception and using Volley. Here's how you can perform a defensive volley:
- Position yourself in between your opponents' cross.
- While the ball is in the air, hold the shoot button to max.
- When it reaches above you, release the shoot button to Volley it.
If you can time this right, and aim before shooting, you can use this defensive volley to create an offensive opportunity for yourself. While this might feel hard in the beginning, with time, using Volley will become much easier.
