Updated March 3, 2026 KAIZEN Cursed Technique tier list reviewed following the latest Kaizen update. Cryofrost remains S-tier after recent buffs.
Want to know which Cursed Technique is actually worth your Yen in Kaizen? CTs are split across five grades — Grade 4, Grade 3, Grade 2, Grade 1, and Special Grade — and the best ones from the Curse Shop NPC can cost you days of grinding. Picking the wrong one is a painful setback, so I've ranked every CT in the game from best to worst, factoring in PvP builds, PvE grinding, Domain Expansions, and overall cursed energy efficiency. Check out my ultimate Kaizen Cursed Technique tier list!
Kaizen Cursed Techniques Tier List Summary
| Tier | Cursed Techniques |
|---|---|
| SS | King of Curses, Limitless |
| S | Mythical Beast Amber, Heavenly Restriction, Blood Manipulation, Cryofrost |

| B | Disaster Plants, Ten Shadows, Shock Amplification |

| D | Cloning |
You can find the summary of our Kaizen Cursed Techniques tier list in the table above. King of Curses and Limitless are the best Special Grade CTs for end-game and your ultimate Kaizen build goals.
If those are out of reach due to their high Yen cost, Heavenly Restriction and Blood Manipulation are excellent alternatives that remain competitive in both PvP and PvE. On the other hand, Cloning, Construction, and Devil's Broom offer very little value in combat and should be avoided or rerolled as soon as possible.

![]() Heavenly Restriction | + Very high damage, CC, mobility, and combo potential + Guard breaks on almost all skills + One of the best Cursed Techniques for PvP in Kaizen + Works really well in PvE as well + Extremely short cooldowns on all skills – Isn't as meta for PvE as Limitless or King of Curses | S |
![]() Blood Manipulation | + Good range, damage, AoE, CC, and lifesteal + All the best skills have fairly low cooldowns + Very good both for PvP and PvE + One of the best Cursed Techniques in Kaizen – Outdamaged by some other meta Cursed Techniques – Not a lot of mobility | S |
![]() Cryofrost | + Has good range, AoE, mobility, and CC + One of the best rare Cursed Techniques in Kaizen + Good for both PvP and PvE + Very easy to craft + Recent buffs have made the Ultimate unblockable and reduced cooldowns, making it one of the best CTs in the game right now | S |

![]() Strawdoll | + One of the best legendary Cursed Techniques for PvP + Excellent single-target damage and CC + Good range on all skills and ability to hit tagged enemies regardless of their location + Can heal allies/user with Straw Heal – Almost all moves are single-target, reducing their AoE – One of the worst legendary CTs for PvE grinding – You have to land Pin Tag to get to use all the skills | A |
Boogie Woogie | + One of the best Cursed Techniques for PvP + The mobility moves are extremely useful and can be used to create combo windows + Boulder Throw does good AoE damage – Damage is slightly underwhelming compared to other CTs – Not the best option for aggressive players | A |
![]() Rot Technique | + Offers a good mix of melee, ranged, and AoE skills + Decent damage output for all moves + Provides good mobility and combo potential – One of the hardest Cursed Techniques to obtain, mostly because of the Eso Core (drops only from Eso Boss) | A |

![]() Idle Transfiguration | + Good range, damage, and AoE on almost all moves + The best common Cursed Technique in Kaizen + Can work really well both in PvP and PvE – You need to capture souls by killing mobs/players to use Soul Embrace – Very long cooldowns on all skills make its average DPS fairly low | A |
![]() Cursed Speech | + Excellent CC on all moves + Very good for close-range PvP – Lower damage compared to most other CTs – Doesn't have that much range or mobility | C |
![]() Construction | + Excellent range on all skills + Good for both PvP and PvE if enemies don't have a gap closer – Virtually useless if an enemy manages to force you into melee – Moves require aiming, making it a bit difficult to play – Long animations on most moves make them easy to dodge | C |
![]() Devil's Broom | + Has two skills that are solid for PvE + Has flight, which is a great quality-of-life skill – One of the worst Cursed Techniques for combat – Both damaging skills have really long wind-ups – Countered in PvP by anything that has range | C |
Cloning | – The worst Cursed Technique in the game right now – Very low damage output – Cloning's implementation is poor – Only has one ability | D |
Kaizen CT Tier List FAQ
The overall best CTs in Kaizen are Blood Manipulation, Limitless, and Heavenly Restriction.
The best CTs for PvP in Kaizen are Blood Manipulation, Strawdoll, Limitless, and Heavenly Restriction.
The best CTs for PvE in Kaizen are Shock Amplification, Cursed Flames, Blood Manipulation, and Limitless.
The worst CTs in Kaizen are Cursed Speech, Construction, and Devil's Broom. Unless you like them for their theme, it's usually better to get a different CT.
If you're just starting out, Idle Transfiguration is the best beginner-friendly Cursed Technique in Kaizen. It's a common CT, so it costs very little Yen, and it performs well in both PvP and PvE without requiring complex setups. Once you've built up enough Yen through grinding, upgrade to Blood Manipulation or Cryofrost as your first major investment.
You can change your Cursed Technique in Kaizen by purchasing a new one from the Curse Shop NPC using Yen. Keep in mind that buying a new CT will replace your current one, so you'll need to repurchase it if you ever want to switch back. There is no free reroll — every CT change costs Yen, which is why choosing the right one from the start matters so much.
The Cursed Techniques with a Domain Expansion in Kaizen are King of Curses, Limitless, Cursed Flames, and Disaster Plants. Domain Expansions are among the most powerful abilities in the game, which is one of the main reasons King of Curses and Limitless sit at the top of our tier list.
