There has never been a better time to become a dragon rider than now with the upcoming How to Train Your Dragon live action movie. As part of the movie PR, you are able to play the official HTTYD Roblox experience.
The opening scene of the game has you taming your own Toothless, which had me almost crying. As someone who has grown up with the original cartoons, seeing my own character pet Toothless was an emotional experience. You'll get to pet your dragon to increase your bond and train to clear Islands and level up.
Of course, Toothless isn't the only Dragon you can tame. Once you rescue them from various Islands, you'll be able to tame the Deadly Nadder, Gruesome Gronckle, and the Hideous Zippleback. I may not have a twin but I will definitely be getting Barf and Belch for myself. You can also look forward to the Monstrous Nightmare which unlocks on June 6, 2025.
All of your progress, battles and training will culminate in a big battle against the Red Death, an event that starts on June 12, 2025. Make sure you've unlocked and leveled your dragons to be able to come out the other end victorious.
Of course, if you're not interested in the big boss battle, you can just fly around on your dragon and enjoy the views. The handling is a little clunky and I may have landed in the water many a time, but once you get the hang of it, it will be glorious. The experience is helped a lot by the official HTTYD soundtrack.
By playing the game, you can also earn free UGCs, like Hiccup's shield and Astrid's axe. I do prefer my Mega Hunt sword, but if I ever decided to switch it out, it will definitely be for that amazing axe.
