Roblox Community Events on the Rise with upcoming Resurgence and The Great Yolktales 2026

Which community event on Roblox are you looking forward to?

The Hatch Egg Hunt 2025 has been a pretty massive disappointment for a lot of the community, both players and developers alike. Roblox fumbled an Egghunt Event so bad, which we didn't really expect, especially after the success, creativity and fun that came with the Mega Hunt event earlier in the year.

While we wait and see what's going to happen with future official Roblox events, the spotlight has turned to a few upcoming community events which light the hope in people for another amazing event.

The first large scale Community Event of the year in Roblox will be the Resurgence. This is a large scale UGC event with ''1.5 million Robux worth of UGC prizes'' that's been five years in the making. From what's been mentioned so far (which admittedly isn't a lot), the event will be similar to the old RPO event, but with an additional way for people who don't like puzzles to earn prizes.

The Resurgence doesn't have an official release date just yet, but they will try to have the event go live by the end of the year (fingers crossed). If you have a game on Roblox, you'll be happy to hear that they are looking for more games to join and make quests for the event. It's already more promising than the Hatch, since the developers will have more time than barely two weeks to create an engaging and challenging experience.

The other event that you can look forward to in 2026 is the sequel to the iconic the Great Yolktales event, done by the same team of course. For Easter 2026 expect to join a massive event with over 10 hours of narrative game content. It won't just be going into games and hoping there will be a quest. You'll see puzzles, platforming, combat and exploration. How exciting!

There will be both the Free to Play version of the event, along with the Extended version. The Extended version will cost 50$ in local currency and this money will go to support the creation of enough UGC stock for the participants of the event. The Great Yolktales is one of Roblox' most famous and most loved events, so many are hoping that they will support the event officially so that the developers don't have to essentially crowdfund to make the free UGCs.

Overall, both events seem more promising than the Hatch ever did, especially with specific scandals involved in the Egg Hunt event. I'm definitely most excited with actually having quality and challenging content in the form of quests and lore. The spotlight is now on these two community events and Roblox will have to work hard to redeem themselves in future events. We can only hope they'll learn from their mistakes before Halloween rolls around.
