Roblox History Made: ‘Grow a Garden’ Hits 10 Million Concurrent Players First

Grow a Garden 10 Million player count like it's easy!

Many games have reached the top of the player count on Roblox with hundreds of thousands of players. However, Grow a Garden is the first game to hit 10 Million CCU over the last weekend of May 2025.

So what is it about Grow a Garden that has more and more players joining in to play it? For starters, the game is very casual. It isn't like anime RPGs where you can expect to get killed every time you step into the game by people who are somehow already OP on day one.

Gardening is also a relaxing activity, but it can take a while to see the effects of your efforts. Here, you can enjoy the relaxing moments but also have quicker gratification. It helps that the plants grow offline, which means you don't have to be in the game all the time.

Another thing that helps the game keep its player count is the frequent and quality updates and events. There's nothing we love more than getting new content. Hopefully the game keeps up with the quality and frequency of updates, or it might risk going the same direction Fisch did—downwards.

Roblox user count has been steadily growing over the year as well, reaching huge numbers during the Mega Hunt event. Even outside of events, Roblox has consistently seen a rise in active players, reaching 17,624,097 users on the platform across all games on May 24, 2025. This high number of active players on the platform definitely also contributes to more people being inside the game as well.

Other games that have reached massive player counts include Dead Rails, Fisch, Blox Fruits, etc. Even if you don't know the exact numbers, you can tell a game is popular when similar experiences with almost the exact same premise pop up. Grow a Garden has seen its fair share of copycats, but the players have definitely stuck with the OG and made it the most popular game on Roblox. With consistent updates and ever-growing numbers, Grow a Garden definitely plans to stay at the top for a while.
