How to Get Gears in Islands – Pink Sticky Gears!

If you're looking to advance the technology of your island in Roblox's Islands aka Skyblock then you're going to need to know how to get gears in the game! We've got all the information you'll need on obtaining these so you can craft some automated devices that will have you farming things while you AFK.

How to Get Gears

First, you need to create yourself a sword. You just need 20x Wood for this so it isn't too difficult to acquire. Make sure you have that with and head on through the Purple Portal on your island to the vendor area. To get Gears you will need to kill Slimes. These can only be found on Slime Island. Go to the Mine area and you'll see an Adventurer vendor next to a portal that looks like this:

In the old days, you would have to purchase a Slime Island Key, but now you just can walk through the portal for free!

Now, all you need to do is slay some Slimes. The Slimes all drop balls of slime that can be sold to the Adventure vendor. They also will SOMETIMES drop a gear that matches the color of the slime. So, to get a Green Gear, you need to kill a Green Slime. To get a Blue Gear, you need to kill a Blue Slime.. and for a Pink Gear...

Pink Sticky Gears

These are the hardest to get and you get them in the same area as the other gears. Unfortunately, the Pink Slime are a very rare spawn. Not only that, you aren't guaranteed to get a Pink Sticky Gear whenever you kill one! To increase the spawn rate you need to kill the Green and Blue Slimes. This can take a while if you have a weak weapon. I would wait until you are able to get at least a minimal upgrade on your weapon before attempting to farm these. It's likely going to be far faster to just try to accumulate money and buy them rather than get them yourself.

As mentioned in the introduction, you are going to need these gears for advanced machinery. You need 3x Pink Sticky Gears for the Industrial Smelter, 3x Green Sticky Gears for the Industrial Oven, and 3x Blue Sticky Gears for the Industrial Sawmill!
