How to Fish in Rune Slayer

To fish in Rune Slayer, you'll first need to buy a rod and bait. You can buy the beginner rod and bait from Simon The Fisherman in the south part of the starting town (Wayshire). Once you have a rod and at least one bait in your inventory (you don't have to equip it or anything), here is how to start fishing:

  1. Equip the fishing rod from your inventory.
  2. Click to cast the line into the water.
  3. Wait for ripples to start appearing around the bobber.
  4. Click again to pull out the line and catch the fish.

Best Fishing Locations in Rune Slayer

Most fish in Rune Slayer can be caught anywhere, but there are some that appear only in specific bodies of water. Here are the best fishing spots in the game and how to get to them:

    • Beach: The beach is located on the edge of the map south-east of Wayshire. It hosts rare sea fish.
    • Greatwood Swamp: It's located in the eastern part of the Greatwood forest. You can find rare swamp fish and mobs here.
    • Lakeshire: Lakeshire is west/north-west of Wayshire (check our factions guide for better directions). Here, you can catch rare jellyfish and other expensive fish.
