What is the Christmas Event in Spear Fishing
The Christmas Event is a limited-time event in Spear Fishing where players can grind to get rare and exclusive items. Players can earn Santa Hats and then exchange them to purchase Coin Bundles, Gem Bundles, Baits, and the exclusive Christmas Trident (the strongest F2P harpoon in the game right now).
The event will continue for 21 days, and you can claim 1 free Christmas Gift every day for the next 21 days just by logging in to Spear Fishing. These rewards include Coins, Gems, Bait, and more.
How to Earn Santa Hats in Spear Fishing
Santa Hat is the main currency required to purchase items from the Christmas Event Shop in Spear Fishing. You can earn Santa Hats by:
- Catching Christmas-mutated fish. Fish wearing a Santa Hat and dropping candy canes are Christmas-mutated.
- Selling Christmas-mutated fish. Sell the Christmas-mutated fish to earn Coins and Santa Hats.

Where to Catch Christmas-Mutated Fish in Spear Fishing
Christmas-mutated fish have a chance of spawning in Rushing Stream, Island Center Lake, and Submerged Pool. You can’t catch Christmas-mutated fish at the Beginner River. These fish can spawn in any Climate but have a higher chance of spawning when the Christmas Climate is active.
The Christmas Climate occurs randomly and lasts for 10 minutes, just like the other Climates in Spear Fishing. Here’s a list of all Christmas-mutated fish that you can catch in Spear Fishing:
