Fishing rods can only be obtained by winning auctions at the Farmyard area. By winning auctions and opening the containers, you’ll get Broken Fishing Rods and Fishing Rods. Broken Fishing Rods can not be used for fishing. Instead, you can sell them to recover some of your investment.

You need operational Fishing Rods to catch fish in Storage Hunters Open World. Collect as many Fishing Rods as you can and keep them in your inventory while you wait for Fishing Season. Once the Fishing Season event starts, use the Fishing Rods one by one to catch as many fish as you can.

As you use Fishing Rods, they will deteriorate and eventually break. You can then sell those Broken Fishing Rods to make money.
