How to Unlock Missing Armor Recipes in The Forge Island 3
Let's be clear from the start. Currently, you cannot find the missing recipes for Heavy Armor from World 3 in The Forge. This is because these recipes are part of a content drop that has not yet been released. The locked armor images on the forging screen in Island 3 serve as placeholders for content scheduled to be released in the Winter Expansion Part 2 update, which is expected to arrive sometime in January.
While this hasn’t been officially confirmed, we’ve played and grinded through all the content on Island 3 for dozens of hours, unlocking, beating, and purchasing basically everything - yet we still haven’t encountered any option to unlock the missing armor recipes in World 3. When Will Missing Armor Recipes Be Added to The Forge?
Nothing is officially confirmed yet, so take this information with a big grain of salt. My educated guess is that the new armor recipes will be added to the game alongside other content slated for release in the Winter Expansion Part 2 update. But when exactly will it release? Well, the current event is called Winter Expansion – Part I, and it’s scheduled to end on January 8. This means the new update could arrive as early as January 8.

However, given the game’s current buggy state and the number of issues introduced with the update, the developers appear to be prioritizing fixes over new content. As a result, development on additional features is likely taking a temporary back seat while critical bugs and glitches are addressed. Because of this, it’s reasonable to expect Winter Update Part 2 to arrive in the second half of January, with a release no later than the end of the month.
Missing Armor Recipes Location
Again, this is purely speculation on my part, but I expect the new armor recipes to be somewhere in the zone behind the locked door in World 3. This is another part of the update that is not yet unlocked in the game and will likely come with the Winter Expansion Part 2 update.
