How to Unlock Straight Sword Missing Recipes in The Forge

While we already knew that the developers were adding a new weapon type to The Forge (the Spear and its four variants), that's not all that's new when it comes to combat. In fact, the developers have also added several other weapon types, including Maces, One-Handed Axes, and regular Axes, each offering a unique combat style. But even that is not the end when it comes to new weapons!

If one of the first things you tried to do when you teleported to Island 3 was to craft new weapons, you might have spotted that some old weapons have some new variants that are currently locked. Namely, Straight Sword has some missing recipes in The Forge. How to unlock them?

In order to unlock the two missing recipes for Straight Swords in The Forge, you will need to buy new blueprints for those weapons. These Straight Sword Blueprints are purchased from Santa's Christmas Shop. They are part of the Christmas Event that kicked off on December 25th and will last for 14 days. They are purchased with a special currency called the Xmas Ticket.

The Santa’s Shop is located on a boat in the Frostpire Expanse hub zone and is operated by none other than Santa himself. It’s hard to miss, just take a look at our image, and you’ll spot him right away. Santa offers several quests for players to complete, rewarding them with Xmas Tickets that can be used to purchase various items from his shop, including the missing Straight Sword recipes.

The blueprints in question are called Hell Slayer and Candy Cane. Purchasing them from the shop unlocks the two currently locked straight swords in the crafting menu, allowing you to craft these time-limited, exclusive weapon variants. They won’t be available forever, so be sure to complete Santa’s quests and purchase them before the Christmas Event ends.
