In this VV Ultimatum Weapon Tier List, we'll break down the best weapons available for Hollow, Quincy, and Shinigami races, helping both beginners and intermediate players understand which options are worth pursuing and which ones are best avoided. Whether you're looking to maximize your damage output, improve your survivability, or simply build around your favorite playstyle, this VV Ultimatum best weapon guide will help you make the right choice.
VV Ultimatum Weapons Tier List
Before we jump to the tier list, it's important to understand that not all factions/races in VV Ultimatum have the same primary weapon options. The pool of weapons available to you depends on which race you pick: Quincy/Reishi Archers, Shinigami/Soul Reapers, or Hollows/Arrancar. This is especially important for Shinigami, as their weapons differ drastically from those of the other races (more on that later). With that out of the way, let's see the tier list of each of the three races.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This list is a work in progress. As we continue playing the game and unlocking moew weapons and faction-unqie gear, we will continue updating the list.

Quincy Spirit Weapons Tier List
The Quincy race uses Spirit Weapons, and there are currently 8 different options from which you choose when you create your character. These weapons have different stats (though they aren't shown when picking the weapon during character creation), including different range, speed, damage, and damage type, as well as different movesets.
NOTE: This VV Ultimatum Spirit Weapons tier list is based on the currently available in-game descriptions and our very early testing, so it should be treated as a practical early-game and progression-focused ranking rather than a final mathematical DPS list. Sword is ranked highest because it is the only weapon explicitly recommended and has no obvious weakness, while the lower tiers mostly reflect weapons that trade too much damage, speed, or consistency for one specific advantage.
| Spirit Weapon | Evaluation |
|---|---|
| Sword S Tier Balanced starter weapon with no major weakness. | Sword is the safest and most consistent Spirit Weapon for most Quincy players. It does not dominate one specific category, but it also does not force you into awkward matchups the way slower or lower-damage weapons can. That matters a lot while progressing through Lieutenant missions, farming progression EXP, and getting used to Quincy spacing.
|
| Spear A Tier Extremely high range, but weaker outside of spacing. | Spear is one of the best weapons if you know how to control distance. Its range gives Quincy players a very natural way to poke, kite, and punish bad approaches, which fits the faction’s ranged identity well. The tradeoff is that it suffers outside of that range advantage, so it can feel worse when enemies force close scrambles.
|
| Longsword A Tier Similar to Sword, but with more range and less damage. | Longsword is basically the safer, lower-damage alternative to Sword. The extra reach makes it easier to start fights on your terms, especially against weapons that need to get closer, but the reduced damage means you need to win more exchanges to get the same result.
|
| Greatsword B Tier High damage and high range, but very slow. | Greatsword has strong payoff, but the speed makes it harder to recommend over safer options. The damage and range are attractive, especially if you like heavier weapons, but VV Ultimatum fights often reward consistent confirms, movement, and not getting punished during slower swings.
|
| Hammer B Tier Blunt weapon with high damage and slower speed. | Hammer is a solid pressure weapon, but it is not as flexible as the top choices. Its slower speed means you need cleaner timing, but the blunt damage profile and high hit impact can make it useful when you want to force defensive mistakes or punish players who overextend.
|
| Club B Tier Slow blunt weapon with strong posture pressure. | Club is useful when you care about posture pressure more than clean DPS. It is described as the blunt counterpart to Greatsword, so its main appeal is forcing posture damage and making opponents respect your hits. The issue is the same as with most heavy weapons: if you cannot land those hits, the weapon quickly feels clunky.
|
| Rifle C Tier Good range, but below-average damage. | Rifle sounds good on paper because Quincy already leans into ranged pressure, but the lower damage hurts its value. Range is useful, especially while learning matchups, but if a weapon struggles to convert that range into meaningful pressure, it can feel like you are giving opponents too many chances to recover or close the gap.
|
| Rapier C Tier Fast-ish weapon with decent range, but low damage. | Rapier has the right idea, but the low damage makes it difficult to justify over Sword or Longsword. It should feel better for players who like quick pokes and lighter weapons, but in practice, you need to land more hits while still managing range, posture, and enemy pressure.
|
For beginners, Sword is the safest weapon choice because it has no major weaknesses and performs decently across most combat situations. Spear is all about reach, giving you excellent range at the cost of weaker overall performance in other areas, while Greatsword trades speed for heavy damage and strong range. Longsword plays similarly to a regular sword but leans more into range while sacrificing some damage.

Rapier is a quicker, lighter option with solid reach, though its damage output is on the lower side. Hammer is a slower blunt weapon that hits hard, making it a strong choice if you prefer heavier strikes. Rifle gives you reliable range but comes with below-average damage, while Club works like the blunt-force version of the Greatsword: slow, heavy, and excellent for dealing posture damage.
Shinigami Weapons Tier List (WiP)
If you are an avid Bleach fan, then you're well aware that Shinigami don't use just any kind of weapons. Rather, they wield the iconic Zanpakutō blades (the Soul Slayer sword). This is adequately transferred into the game with the unique weapon system for the Shinigami race - instead of weapon classes, they use a Zanpakutō system.
