Roblox Automated Ban system

You can now be banned if you’re using modified Roblox clients

Avoid the Roblox automated ban!

Modified or third-party clients could now result in immediate account suspension or permanent banning. This comes as part of their action against account farming and exploits. The new automated system is going to identify and take appropriate action against accounts that are using modified clients to progress faster in the game, get more money (or whatever the in-game currency is), level up and more.

What Are Modified Clients

Modified clients are unauthorized versions of the Roblox application that may offer features like:

  • Custom interfaces
  • Unfair gameplay advantages
  • Hacking capabilities
  • "Prank" features

Not all such clients might be intentionally bad, but some players do abuse them as such. This update isn't coming out of nowhere either. Roblox has made a continuous effort to prevent account farming, game exploits as well as automated play, like macros for example.

Why Is Roblox Taking This Step?

Roblox is one of the biggest game platforms at the moment, with increasing CCU numbers every month. In order to ensure the stay on top and retain their player base, they need to commit to such steps as banning modified clients. The crackdown is part of Roblox's ongoing efforts to:

  1. Maintain fair gameplay across its platform
  2. Protect user data from potential security breaches and malware risks
  3. Improve the overall gaming experience for legitimate players

The automated system has been tested during the 2025 Roblox Mega Hunt event. This was the perfect moment to test this system as there would have been plenty of people trying to abuse the games and get the big million dollar prize. According to the Roblox DevForum, the test was successful and many accounts attempting to use modified clients were banned.

How to Avoid Getting Banned

To ensure you don't get an account suspension, or even worse, get permanently banned, follow these simple guidelines:

  • Download Roblox exclusively from the official website (roblox.com)
  • Use only official app versions (App Store, Google Play)
  • Don't download any third-party applications claiming to enhance or modify your Roblox experience

If you're unsure whether you're using a client that can get you banned or not, reach out to the Roblox Help Center, or post a question on the DevForum. For those using Bloxstrap, I suggest uninstalling and using the official app for now. There's high chance that this client can get your account banned, so better safe than sorry.

What If You're Wrongfully Banned?

All automated systems can make a mistake, and if you're sure you didn't use anything you shouldn't be using, Roblox offers an appeals proccess. Go through the Violations and Appeals page to submit your ban removal appeal. But as I mentioned above, try not to get to this step at all. Avoid anything shady, stick to official channels and you should be good!
