Along with the exciting news about The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the June 2024 Nintendo Direct also announced the remake and re-release of the classic game Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven (as if the showcase wasn't nostalgic enough for you). Here are all the details on this upcoming release.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven release date

This JRPG was originally released in Japan in 1993, but it's making its official comeback with this full re-release. The game has been completely remade with improved gameplay and visuals. If you're a fan, you'll be happy to know that we won't have to wait too long to jump in. It's set to release on October 24, 2024, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven gameplay details

This remake is filled with all the same JRPG features we love but with much-needed modernization. You'll play in a third-person, non-linear world. Here, you'll complete story quests, make important decisions that impact the world and situations, recruit allies, and fight off enemies in turn-based combat.

You won't just be limited to one character but can cycle through and choose what character you want to play as from your recruited allies. Each character has their own strengths and abilities they can use in battle. Experiment with various team formations to combine and utilize their skills in the most efficient way possible.

Choices and decisions have consequences in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

During dialogue, you can choose what lines you want your character to say. Your choices will shape the history of the world and result in different outcomes as you play. Choose wisely or you may miss out on potential new allies to recruit.

Along with recognizable features, you'll also notice all-new English dub over voices for all characters. Plus, you can appreciate the nostalgic soundtrack in a new way as well with the rearranged composition from the iconic composer, Kenji Ito.
