What is Routine? Release date, platforms, trailer, and more

Routine is a horror game being developed by Lunar Software and published by Raw Fury. Routine is a first-person horror game set in an abandoned lunar base, resembling a futuristic vision from the 80s.

Everything we know about Routine

The game's objective is to roam through contrasting sectors of a Lunar station, from abandoned malls to deteriorating Living Quarters. Routine will create an immersive experience by giving the player Full Body Awareness and Deadzone Aiming with a minimal HUB. Upgrades are also available in the form of modules. The modules provide new functionality to the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.).

What is the release date for Routine?

Routine doesn't have a public release date yet, even though it has been in development for over a decade. When a release date is revealed, we will update this guide accordingly.

What platforms will Routine be on?

Routine looks like a Microsoft exclusive, so don't expect this on Nintendo or PlayStation. We've detailed the exact systems below:

  • P.C. (Windows and Steam)
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox Series X|S

Will Routine be on Xbox Game Pass?

Routine will be on Xbox Game Pass and most likely on PC Game Pass as well. It is very likely a day one release on Xbox Game Pass considering Microsoft's track record of releasing Halo Infinite, Forza, and other Xbox exclusives on Game Pass on launch day.

During the Summer Game Fest 2022, a trailer was revealed for Routine. The trailer was cinematic but it may have been in the game engine. It looks like the player is looking around and then is killed by a robot.
