How to unlock cooking and what the best recipes in the game are.

In Rune Factory 4 Special, you can't just build a kitchen and start making dishes. To cook, you will need to unlock a license. This can be a confusing process, especially for players who are used to other farming sims.

How do I unlock cooking in Rune Factory 4 Special?

To cook, you will need to unlock the ez cooking license using prince or princess points at the Order Symbol. This will allow you to make recipes with simple tools and will cost you 100 points. When you are ready to make more advanced recipes, you will need to go back to the Order Symbol and spend 500 points.

In addition to paying with points, you will also need to pass an exam for the license. These are simple and shouldn't cause you much trouble. You can purchase the following cooking appliance from Porcoline:

  • Frying Pan
  • Pot
  • Knife
  • Mixer
  • Steamer
  • Oven

Each appliance is used to make different types of dishes. You can gain the recipes themselves from cooking bread and cooking bread+.

  • Curry
  • Fried Udon
  • Pickle Mix
  • Sashimi
  • Cheese Bread
  • Turnip Heaven

Recipes like Prelude to Love and Turnip heaven are extremely useful in dungeons but are end-game recipes.
