How to join the Hunter Guild in OSRS

Good hunting!

Hunter has been an oft-overlooked skill in OSRS but the March 2024 update saw the skill given some much-needed love, content-wise. If you’re looking for the Hunters Guild to get in on the action, read on below to find out where it is, how to get there, and what to expect.

Hunter Guild can be found in Varlamore, just outside its capital city of Civitas illa Fortis (on the map below, you’ll see it just southwest of the city on the way toward Sunset Coast). It is a members-only guild that requires a player to have Hunter 46, Herblore 30, and Construction 27 to join.

You need to have been invited to and traveled once to the continent via Regulus Cento to be able to visit the guild (see my guide on how to get to Varlamore if you haven’t been yet). Once you arrive, if you have the Hunter Cape or Max Cape, you can speak to Guildmaster Apatura at the guild to unlock its teleport. You can also then get there via the Quetzal Transport System, while there is a Fairy Ring southeast of the guild.

You can join the guild once you arrive as long as you meet the level requirements and complete the quest At First Light, given by Guilmaster Apatura at the guild. You will also need to have completed the quests Children of the Sun (which gets you to Varlamore) and Eagles’ Peak (from Ardougne Zoo).

This then opens up the following new Hunter Guild content:

  • The Burrow: A bar below the guild where a variety of food and drink can be found, as well as hunters’ rumors (see below).
  • The Roost: This gives you access to the continents’ Quetzal Transport System which can take you to a variety of locations around Varlamore.
  • Hunters’ Rumours: A quest and reward system similar to Farming Contracts and Slayer Tasks. Speak to Verity in The Burrow to get started. Rewards include a variety of Hunter Meats which, once cooked, provide heals and cures.
