How to level up fast in Sand Land

Gotta go fast.

Leveling up is an important part of any game, RPG or otherwise. In Sand Land, you need to advance Beelzebub's abilities as well as the abilities of your allies, so it's crucial that you spend some time doing a little XP farming to get your team to a good place. Here's how to level up fast in Sand Land.

The best ways to level up quickly in Sand Land

You won't need to spend hours grinding to level up in Sand Land; this story-based RPG has great balance! When you level up in Sand Land, you gain access to a whole host of special abilities that you can add to your battle strategy. Some of the special skills Beelzebub has include boosts for his Power of Darkness ability, a skill that extends the effects of items, and a skill that allows him to evade enemies even while he's in the middle of jumping.

If you don't gain XP and head over to the Characters tab in the menu to learn the available skills, you won't gain any of the benefits. Rao and Thief both have excellent active and passive skills that can aid you in a fight, and it'd be a shame not to use them.

Fight everything

It doesn't matter what it is, if you can fight it, fight it. From raptors and scorpions to boss fights, memorize those keyboard/mouse and controller combos to take out your enemy!

Because of the small amount of XP you get for fighting enemies out in the wasteland, I highly recommend not going out of your way to hunt them down. Just, if you happen to come across them, shoot them with your tank's gun. Simple.

Take a bounty or three

The majority of the settlements in Sand Land will have a Hunter that you can talk to. Have a lovely chat with this guy and take on whatever bounty seems fun to you. The bounty list includes the levels of each enemy, so you don't end up digging yourself a hole.

Moreover, and although you don't have to do them, I suggest doing all the side quests. You'll get less XP than the main storyline quests (up to 300 XP) because side quests are supposed to take less time. But, there's no harm in picking up the ones you come across and completing them on the road or when you want to level up a bit more before your next big main quest.

Don't avoid the caves

The caves aren't as scary as they look. There might be an enemy inside, but a fair number of them are just full of crafting materials and other game items. If there is a scorpion or a cave cobra, just give it the old one-two and move on. It's the enemies that will give you the XP here.

Take a run at the ruins

Like much of the content in this action game, the ruins are optional. They act as a dungeon-type feature that players can explore, giving them more items to find and enemies to beat. You'll be able to find rare materials and gain some more XP just from completing more of the game.
