Regain your health.

It is only possible to heal yourself in Sifu by taking down your opponents. It takes two takedowns to recover Health lost in one punch from the base healing rate.

You can raise your Health faster by getting the Health Gained on Takedowns from a shrine. The shrine skills are extremely useful, and the player will have access to this particular skill until the age of 40. After leveling this up a few times, players will regain Health taken from a punch with a single takedown.

Even though this may not seem like much, Sifu is a difficult game. Developers didn't provide a way for players to regain Health quickly.

Vaulting is an effective way to avoid getting damaged entirely. You can vault over a nearby surface if you find yourself up against a tough opponent. You should continue doing that until they get close enough for you to make them stumble. You'll get two free hits, and your structure bar will quickly fill up since you're dealing damage to an enemy.
