If you want to escape the noise of the city, well going across the bay and into the mountains for some sick shredding in the Super Ultra Mega Resort Camp Mega Park (I have to say I love the name) is the perfect choice for you. This is a mega park built for skaters by skaters.

You'll get to experience Rocky Ramps, Tube Mountains, check in to Rockbottom Lodge, as well as visit the Fishing Hole. You can also challenge yourself through the custom-carved rock formations of the Bloody Gulch. This nature filled location is definitely a change of pace compared to San Vansterdam.

  • S.U.M.R Camp Premium Access [Sept 8 - Oct 6] - All Premium Pass holders will have access to the S.U.M.R Camp early.
  • S.U.M.R Camp General Access [Oct 6 - Dec 1] - Anyone with premium access can still join, but others can also join in on the summer fun by purchasing daily access with 500 Rip Chips.
  • Stadium General Access [Season 5] - access it through the Premium Pass or for 250 Rip Chips daily
  • Isle of Grom General Access [Sept 8 - Oct 13 and Nov 3 - Dec 1] - accessible through Premium Pass or for 500 Rip Chips daily.
  • Isle of Grom Open Access [Oct 20 - Nov 3] - accessible for everyone, a free period.

The S.U.M.R Camp Story Event includes the Mystery of the Missing Slappy

It's not all about skating and having fun at summer camp. The S.U.M.R Camp story event in skate will have you looking for the missing City Councilor Slappy. This will be a combination of Missions and Bounties with fully voiced narrative updates in real-time. By completing six weeks of activities, you will uncover where Slappy went.

It's important to note that you need to have access to the S.U.M.R camp to be able to participate in this event. It will be available to the general public after the early access is over. The event also won't be available after Season 5, so this is your only chance to join in a fun mystery summer camp event.

San Vansterdam gets a Summer Revamp and Re-Adds Meetups

The Block Parties are getting a summer makeover, with elements from the S.U.M.R camp crossing over into San Van. Meetups Block Parties are returning in Season 5 that triggers every 30 minutes. You can opt in or join in a mode that supports up to 150 players where you can show off your tricks. There will be four types of Meetups:

  • Invitational - a standard Block Party
  • Pro Comp - a high-level competition that requires you to be extra good at your tricks to win
  • Mixer - social challenges for a more relaxed vibe
  • Block Blitz - a high-intense battle for people that want to get on the leaderboard.

If you are the leader of the leaderboard, you will also get an in-game crown. The best thing for bragging rights!

New & Updated Tricks in skate

Of course, Season 5 of skate introduces a new trick, the Underflip. You'll get to learn 16 variations of the Underflip. Footprints are also getting improved, and you can even tackle new Challenges and Bounties related to them.

That's the breakdown of some of the major updates in skate Season 5. You can check out the new brands, rewards, and more coming to Season 5. You can also check out our skate Early Access Impression to see how the game holds up to its legacy!
