Slay the Spire 2 is the long-awaited sequel to MegaCrit’s genre-defining roguelike deckbuilder, launched into Steam Early Access on March 5, 2026. Set 1,000 years after the original, the Spire has reawakened — hungrier, more dangerous, and packed with new secrets to uncover. Players craft a unique deck from an expanded pool of cards, collect powerful relics, and battle their way through procedurally generated floors filled with bizarre enemies, unpredictable events, and game-changing choices.
The sequel builds on everything that made the original a classic, while introducing fresh systems and content. Five playable characters are available in Early Access — returning favorites Ironclad, Silent, and Defect are joined by two all-new characters, the Necrobinder and the Regent, each with unique mechanics and playstyles. A brand-new Timeline feature ties your runs together into a meta-progression system that gradually reveals the Spire’s lore and unlocks new content. For the first time in the series, you can also team up with up to four players in a fully featured co-op mode, complete with multiplayer-exclusive cards and team synergy mechanics.
