There are many new features in SpellForce 3 Reforced over the original. They do not affect the main storyline but instead add features outside of it. Therefore, the original game's length provides a good indication of how long the remastered version should take. There will, however, be significant differences in the extra content.
In completionist terms, I'd say to fully enjoy SpellForce 3 Reforced, you'd need 75 hours.
| Single-Player | Average | Median | Rushed | Leisure |
| Main Store | 26h 09m | 24h 15m | 21h 22m | 37h 36m |
| Main + Extras | 47h 13m | 43h | 35h 33m | 66h 20m |
| Completionists | 53h 56 m | 50h | 45h 13m | 63h 29m |
| All Playstyles | 44h 54m | 43h | 30h 44m | 65h 45m |
It will take many hours to complete the side content in the Reforced edition due to new game modes. The game will also include a new Skirmish map. Here is some added time for each new feature.
- Journey Mode - 20 hours of "replay value and unique content"
- Arena Mode - at least 5-6 hours of content if rushed
- Mod Support - Additional time may be required depending on how many mods are made
- Brand New Skirmish Map - at least another hour
- Journey Skirmish - at least another hour
