While Spider-Man 2 boasts an impressive number of villains to face and a thrilling story to experience, I want more! With Insomniac's first Spider-Man getting DLC, I wondered if Spider-Man 2 would also receive DLC.
DLC would be the best way to expand the content of Spider-Man 2 and give fans even more spectacular Spidey action. Let's discover whether Spider-Man 2 has DLC coming post-launch.
Does Spider-Man 2 have DLC?
There is no official confirmation of DLC for Spider-Man 2, but there are rumors swirling of a Carnage DLC. Carnage has long been an iconic villain for Spider-Man, and has seen a resurgence due to the second Venom: Let there be Carnage movie. With the inclusion of Venom in Spider-Man 2, another symbiote like Carnage coming with DLC wouldn't be a surprise.

A possible Venom spin-off has also been teased to Insider, with both Tony Todd and Nadji Jeter confirming they will work together on voice acting in the future. The original Spider-Man saw several pieces of DLC, and the Miles Morales game as well. With how popular Spider-Man is, I fully expect DLC of some kind to be released.
Will Spider-Man 2 get New Game Plus?
Insomniac has confirmed new game plus is coming to Spider-Man 2. It is not available at launch but will be added to the game in an upcoming update; no official date was given for the release of new game plus, but players can expect it by the end of 2023. In addition to this, you can expect new suits to arrive. These will be inspired or designed by celebrities, such as Rina Sawayama, Vinicius Junior, and Lando Norris.
Insomniac is clearly dedicated to making Spider-Man 2 the best Spider-Man game, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for the future. DLC, spin-offs... give me anything Spider-Man related for Spider-Man 2, and I'm happy!
