Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League ending, explained

Upon their arrival in Metropolis, Task Force X uncovers Brainiac's grand scheme of transforming the populace into minions for his envisioned New Colu. The alien overlord's manipulation extends to the Justice League, leading Amanda Waller to decree a lethal mandate against our misfit heroes. It's not a surprise if you ask me, as Amanda wasn't too fond of our beloved group of rascals. The narrative then weaves the fate of Colu, once a pinnacle of intelligence in the universe, now a memory Brainiac wants to resurrect through Earth's conquest.

A pivotal moment unfolds as Brainiac, having subdued the Justice League, summons Task Force X to his Skull Ship. Revealing his perception of their potential, Brainiac hints at his ambitions to extend his dominion to the multiverse. The encounter then devolves into Brainiac shapeshifting to a member of the Justice League. I cannot understate how absurd the fight is, for having Brainiac, who is probably the smartest being in the Universe, try to defeat the Suicide Squad using the same tactics he has already seen fail. I guess it goes well with his established persona of being utterly insane.

However, this encounter is abruptly curtailed, spiraling into a revelation by Lex Luthor about the existence of multiple Brainiacs, thus propelling Task Force X into an "eternal conflict" across various realities.

The ensuing boss battle against Brainiac on Earth 2 showcases a hybrid of Brainiac and Flash's powers, demanding strategic counters from Task Force X. Assisted by the Support Squad, the team employs a mix of tactics, including toxic affliction clouds and weaponized vehicles, to subdue Brainiac's forces. The confrontation culminates with Waller delivering the decisive blow through Lex Luthor's Dataspike, effectively neutralizing this Brainiac incarnation and signaling the campaign's closure.

The finale of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is both an ending and a gateway to new adventures for players who decided to stick around this long and not refund the game. Following Task Force X's tumultuous journey through Metropolis, thwarting Brainiac's invasion, the game shifts towards a "Finite Crisis" mode. This new feature challenges players to enhance their mastery levels by tackling a series of intricate missions aimed at defeating the remaining twelve Brainiacs scattered across the multiverse.
