Play the game early for free!

Unsouled is a fast-paced 2D action-RPG being released on PC Game Pass on April 28, 2022. As part of the Xbox Game Preview program, Microsoft is offering a free trial of the game. Although the game is likely to be different upon release, this will give players an idea of what to expect.

How to play the Unsouled preview

Go to the Unsouled (Game Preview) page on the Microsoft storefront. From there, look for the Free Trial button on the right side and click it. You'll be asked to confirm your identity and sign in if you have not yet, and after, you can choose which device you'd like the game downloaded to. Your device will already be saved if you have PC Game Pass.

The official release warns that the game may have different features upon release. Previews are older game builds and don't have as many features as the final version. There is a good chance that the game will be improved upon release.

If you like the preview, you can purchase the game, but you shouldn't if you already have Game Pass. Game Pass members will be able to play the game for free when it launches, eliminating the need to purchase.
