How to destroy the Red Emerald Abyss Seal in Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari DLC

As you explore the Abyss Foscari in the Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari DLC, you'll notice a giant red emerald in the south of the stage. And just like in Lake Foscari, you need to break it, but it's not as simple as just walking up to it and hitting it. Here's how to destroy the Seal of the Abyss in Vampire Survivors.

How to destroy the Seal of the Abyss in Vampire Survivors

To destroy the Seal of the Abyss, you need to play the run with Maruto Cuts, the warrior character added in Tides of Foscari; the crystal won't break using anyone else. You'll already have him unlocked at this point, so it's just a matter of buying him on the Character Selection menu.

Once in the run with Maruto Cuts, you must evolve his starting weapon, Eskizzibur, into Legionnaire and then max out its level to level eight. With those conditions met, head over to the red emerald and walk over it to automatically attack and shatter it.

What does destroying the Seal of the Abyss do?

Unlike the green Seal of the Lake in the Lake Foscari stage that you had to break to unlock the Abyss Foscari level, the red emerald doesn't unlock a new stage—not yet, anyway. It does do something useful, though.

Destroying the Seal of the Abyss opens up the Abyss Foscari map more, where you'll find the blue Seal of the Banished without spoiling it; you'll need to come back later as you can't do anything with it right now. It also unlocks Luminaire Foscari, a secret character.

How to find the Red Emerald Abyss Seal in Vampire Survivors

To find the Red Emerald Seal of the Abyss in the Abyss Foscari stage, head south from the starting point toward the two Crown weapon pickups. Once you've reached the first one, you'll see a long horizontal stone bridge. Go west across it, and continue until you reach a path to the north.

Walk north up this path, and you'll end up at the Seal of the Abyss red crystal.

How to evolve Eskizzibur into Legionnaire in Vampire Survivors 

To evolve Eskizzibur into Legionnaire so that you can break the Red Emerald, you must level Eskizzibur to its max level, which is level eight. You also need to level Armor to level five, its max level.

Once you've done that, open up a Treasure Chest to trigger Eskizzibur's evolution into Legionnaire.
