Zenless Zone Zero preload, unlock times and install sizes

Get ready to play HoYoverse's newest gacha game: Zenless Zone Zero! Available to preload as of July 2, 2024, Zenless Zone Zero is a new action RPG/gacha game where players play a protagonist known as Wise or Belle (depending on their choice of character at the beginning of the game).

Zenless Zone Zero worldwide play unlock times

Zenless Zone Zero drops on July 4 at 10 a.m. UTC+8 (Beijing, China). This equates to the following times for players across the world:

• Wednesday, July 3 at 7 p.m. PDT for the west coast of North America
• Wednesday, July 3 at 10 p.m. EDT for the east coast of North America
• Thursday, July 4 at 3 a.m. BST for the U.K.
• Thursday, July 4 at 4 a.m. CEST for western Europe
• Thursday, July 4 at 11 a.m. JST for Japan
• Thursday, July 4 at 12 p.m. AET for Australia

Install sizes for Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero is going to be a HUGE game! It's recommended that you have at least an extra 10GB of storage space available, separate from the 8GB to 9GB of RAM that the game requires. This is the absolute minimum storage requirement for the game, and likely won't last long after the first update or two.

HoYo has recommended that all PC users install the game onto an SSD for the best experience - that's a "solid-state drive," which is typically the storage device used in your computer. They run faster than the old Hard Disk Drives (HDD), so it's likely that you already have this set up.

A news post from HoYo also recommends that you have the following storage space available for the game:

• PC: 57GB of storage
• iOS: 26 GB of storage
• Android: 20BG of storage
• PlayStation 5: 55GB of storage

Why hasn't Zenless Zone Zero been pre-downloaded?

If you pre-registered for Zenless Zone Zero and the game didn't preload for you in the early hours of July 2, 2024, likely, you don't have HoYoPlay installed on your PC.

HoYoPlay is a game launcher for your HoYoverse PC games and can pre-download any HoYo games that you pre-register for. Without the launcher, you will need to manually start the download from the Zenless Zone Zero website.

You should still get your pre-register bonuses, but that's not up to me. If you have any issues, I recommend that you email the official Zenless Zone Zero email address at [email protected]
