How to remove Cursed Land in Zoria Age of Shattering

While most of the land in Zoria is relatively normal to step upon, at times you'll come across a cursed patch that prevents you from stepping foot on it. These areas are depicted as a swirling mass of dark purple energy, so they are very hard to miss. Often, these specific areas are hiding high-quality loot around or beyond it, so you want to bypass these areas if you can. Thankfully, there is a way.

Cursed Land is summoned through the power of necromancy in Zoria, but Priests possess the means to cure this land and make it passable again. To do so, you need to have a Priest in your party. Walk up to the edge of a Cursed Land patch, then, position your cursor at the center of it. This should give your Priest the option to cast Dispel. Click on the patch, and our Priest will invoke the spell, removing all traces of the Cursed Land. Once the Cursed Land is cleared, you will be able to transverse across the area like it was never there.

Should you always clear Cursed Land in Zoria Age of Shattering?

You should always clear any Cursed Land you come across during your adventures in Zoria. Cursed Land areas tend to be in places where useful items are hidden or quest components can be found, and there's no real reason not to do so anyhow. Necromancy is evil in Zoria, so there's even a lore reason to remove them.

During the prologue of the main story, you're given a Priest to work with, allowing you to clear any of the initial Cursed Land patches you come across. However, following the prologue, you lose access to a Priest, meaning you'll have no way to clear these patches until you find another Priest or are one yourself. It is for this reason I recommend you start the game as a Priest, as you'll gain access to some useful items early on.
