In Update 9 of King Legacy, the developers have introduced the Fishing mechanics. As the name suggests, the feature enables players to catch fish from all three seas and then use those fish to earn money. So, if you are new to the game or don't know where to start your fishing journey in King Legacy, here is a detailed guide on it.
How to get a basic fishing rod in King Legacy
Like most games on Roblox, you can fish in King Legacy using a fishing rod. This is a craftable item that can be obtained from the Mystic Bookkeeper on the Pirate Island in Sea 1. You can easily reach this island by traveling towards the west side from the Starter Island in the first sea.
After reaching the island, go towards the end area, in the same section as the Clown Boss NPC. Here, you can find the Bookkeeper near the building. Speak with him and select the fishing rod recipe from the list, and also have the following sets of materials in your inventory to craft one.
- x10 Rusted Scrap: Defeat any enemies with swords to get the rusted scrap as drop reward.
- x30 Logs: Equip Axe or your Hand to chop down trees to get wood logs.
How to fish in King Legacy
Once you have the fishing rod, you can start fishing in King Legacy. To do this, equip the basic fishing rod from your inventory. Go near any water body and press the associated button from the taskbar. Now, press and hold the LMB to throw the rod with full force (ideally in the green area).
Now, hold the rod until a fish gets caught! You will be informed with three exclamation marks on screen. Immediately, a horizontal fishing bar will appear at the bottom. Just keep pressing the LMB to hold the mouse cursor over the white bar until the green slider gets filled to catch a fish.
How to sell your fish in King Legacy
The final step is to sell your fish to generate some additional income. Return to the starter island to find a new NPC called Fisher Frank opposite the Blacksmith. Take all your fish, and depending on the quantity and rarity, you will receive payment in the form of gold.
How to increase drop chance using fish in King Legacy
Apart from serving as passive income, you can also use the fishes in King Legacy to improve the drop chance of several rare items obtained as drop rewards. To do this, press the stats icon and switch to the profile tab. Here, select the drop boost icon. An extensive list featuring several swords, items, and other scarce items will be available. Select the item for which you want to improve drop chance and then attach the best fishes available in your inventory. For example, if you look at the above image, you will see that my Dragon Bones drop rate has been increased from 0% to 0.0025% by attaching a simple Celestafin.
