Archived is one of the most hardcore RPG Roblox experiences, with extensive character customization regarding gear and builds, a massive world, and complex combat and progression mechanics. To navigate its world efficiently, you'll need tips and tricks that the game won't explicitly tell you about. Below, we have compiled all the essential information for any newbie, from character creation to completing dungeons. So, without further ado, here is our ultimate Archived Roblox beginner's guide!
Archived Roblox Character Creation Guide

The character creation in Archived consists of a series of dialogue choices that will ultimately decide your starting Syndicate / Association (main faction). You'll need to pick "Ponder" at the start to trigger the dialogue series. The flowchart of all the possible choices is in the table below, including the Syndicate / Association that you get for choosing them.
Note that if you go with a Syndicate faction, you'll be able to switch to being a Fixer (Association member) later on, but the opposite is not possible. Also, if you choose "Skip Character Creation", you will spawn in without an affiliation, but you will get a Greatsword as a starting weapon, which is really good.

How Grades (Ranks) Work in Archived Roblox
Grades in Archived are the same as levels in other games. You start at Grade 9 and progress up to Grade 1. You gain EXP by:
- Completing quests (pick up quests at the Sentanza by talking to the Office Contractor)
- Killing enemies and bosses
- Doing dungeons, etc.
Once you max out the EXP for your current Grade, you'll need to talk to either the Syndicate Office Manager or the Hana Association Manager (located at the Hana Outpost), depending on your faction, and ask them to take a Grade Evaluation Exam. You'll be teleported to the Hana Association Headquarters, where you'll complete tasks in order to increase your Grade.
How to Join and Leave an Association / Syndicate in Archived
Associations and Syndicates serve as the factions in Archived, each having unique pages (skills), weapons, and joining requirements. You can join an affiliation either during character selection or later on by creating or joining a player office. You can leave an Association and Syndicate by joining another one.
How Skill Trees Work in Archived Roblox

In Archived, the Stat Points you earn by leveling up can be spent on Skill Trees. You gain five Skill Points every time you Grade Up and the maximum number of SP is 45. There are seven Skill Trees, each giving different traits as well as flat stat bonuses for each point you have in the tree. Here is a short overview of the Skill Trees and what they do:
Skill Tree | Stat Bonus / Point | Passives Focus |
---|---|---|
Wrath | Gain % damage up proportional to health lost + points invested (+0.1% DMG per 1% DMG lost per point). | Wrath passives provide extra damage and survivability. |
Desire | Apply X more status effect count on the target depending on the amount of points invested (15 SP = 1 more, 30 SP = 2 more, etc.). | Desire passives provide bonus Status Effect procs and support effects. |
Sloth | Lose speed, but gain damage in exchange proportional to points invested (-0.1 Speed and +0.2% DMG per point). | Sloth passives provide buffs related to Stamina consumption, blocking, parrying, and guardbreaking. |
Gluttony | Increased natural regen proportional to investment points. | Gluttony passives provide Rupture Status Effect applications and buffs related to it. |
Gloom | Increases E.G.O duration cap (Gloom SP x 3). | Gloom passives buff your E.G.O usage, duration, and damage, and provide other buffs. |
Pride | Gain X amount of clash power per X amount of points invested (15 SP = 1 more, 30 SP = 2 more, etc.). | Pride passives buff the Poise effect, its proc rate, stacking, damage, etc. |
Envy | Gain X amount more positive status effects proportional to X amount points invested (15 SP = 1 more, 30 SP = 2 more, etc.). | Envy passives allow you to gain Charge and get extra DMG and other effects based on your Charge count. |
How Skills / Pages Work in Archived Roblox
Pages (skills) are your main abilities in Archived. You gain them by opening books, which drop from enemies, dungeons, etc. Each time you open a book, you'll have a choice of multiple pages, depending on the type of book that you're using. You can have up to 5 combat pages at a time (excluding E.G.O/Singularity skills), and you can wipe/relearn them by talking to the John Archive NPC.
How E.G.Os Work in Archived Roblox
E.G.O is the ultimate combat form your character can have in Archived. To get an E.G.O, you'll need to be Grade 3+ and have enough E.G.O experience (gained by consuming Seed of Light, burning pages, killing players, doing quests, etc.). You'll know you have enough EXP if your screen flashes during any of the above-mentioned activities.
Once you've met the EXP and Grade requirements, you'll need to die during the Night In The Backstreets permadeath event. A figure will then appear, prompting a dialogue, where you'll need to find the "I don't need your help" option within 10 seconds. If successful, you'll revive and manifest your E.G.O, making it usable from that point on.
How to Wipe Your Character in Archived Roblox
Just like in Deepwoken and many other hardcore RPG Roblox experiences, you can wipe your character in Archived by dying 3 times. Your character slot will then reset, allowing you to start over. The easiest way to do this is to ask another player to grip you 3 times.
