How to Equip & Upgrade Familiars in Anime Vanguards

To equip a familiar to one of your units in Anime Vanguards, go to Units → Select a unit → Familiar → Select a familiar → Equip. You can use filters and the search function at the top to find the desired familiars. Click on Passives in the top left to see the abilities of the selected familiar.
Familiar Element Reroll & Stats Reroll

Once you select a familiar, you can click on Reroll at the bottom to open the Familiar Reroll menu. Here, you can reroll your familiars' Elemental Bonus with Elemental Shards and the Passive Stats Values using the Phoenix Shard. Note that only regular familiars' stats/element can be rerolled, and that's before you Corrupt them! You can get the reroll shards from:
- Raid Shop
- Events Shop
- Odyssey Mode
- Codes
Familiar Corruption

Another way to upgrade your familiars in Anime Vanguards is to Corrupt them, and you'll need Corruption Crystals (obtained from Raid Shop, Events Shop, Codes, and Odyssey Mode) for that. Corruption can only be done on regular familiars, and it can only be done once (except for some special familiars). The effects of the Corruption can be deleted by using the Reverse function within the Corruption menu, and once you've done that, you won't be able to Corrupt that familiar again. The effects of each Corruption are:
Corruption | Effect | Odds |
---|---|---|
Corruption I | No change. The familiar still becomes Corrupted. | 15% |
Corruption II | Randomly rolls the stats on the familiar. | 15% |
Corruption III | Rolls the passive stats of the familiar 1% to 50% higher/lower than they currently are, ignoring caps. NOTE: This is the best Corruption and the only one you should target. | 35% |
Corruption IV | Adds another passive to the familiar, assigning a random element to that passive and a random DMG increase from 1% to 10%. | 35% |
