There's no in-game option to join a clan right now, although the feature is planned to be added down the line. However, you can visit the Discord server and organize/join an unofficial clan with other players there.
Katana is an excellent option because it's easy to master, thanks to its high speed and solid damage. The Katana cases are also relatively cheap.
You can claim them by completing quests. They reset every hour, with six brand-new challenges. You also get one free quest refresh per day, so you can reshuffle if you don't like the set you got.
