To unlock all of the spooky, scary UGCs part of the Halloween Spotlight event, you're going to need to get the Rune and Key from the Epic Minigames too. Follow our guide below to find out how to easily obtain them, with some useful tips to make the grind quicker!
How to Get the Rune in Epic Minigames
First of all, you're going to want to speak to Steve, the green NPC in the tuxedo, to start the quest. He will have you set out to find a recipe first the ingredient list, in order to assemble the Rune in the cauldron.
The Recipe can drop in any minigame, so just go ahead and play until you see the item spawn. It will appear on the field in the game as a rolled up piece of paper glowing gold. It will list out three other items you need to collect, as shown below:
- Brown Mushroom Cluster
- Red Poisonous Mushroom
- Yellow Flowers
The three items have a higher chance to spawn in some specific games, but you'd have to dish out 9 Robux to be able to select which mini game you want to play next. The best way to collect all three is to just keep playing until they drop. They most often appear mid-game, and they'll be hard to miss, since they are glowing gold.
Once you obtain all three, head back to Steve in the lobby and start assembling the ingredient list in the cauldron. It is best to check your own ingredient list item to know the right order of the three items. Some players have reported this item ordering as bugged, so pay attention to what happens to your list and items once you get to this step.
Congratulations! You got your Rune, so now you can move on to obtaining the Key from Epic Mini Games.
How to Get the Key in Epic Mini Games
To get the Key from Epic Mini Games, you're going to have to complete three quests from different NPCs. All three NPC's are found in the lobby. If you want to do this part as fast as possible, you can also progress through the three quests simultaneously since the NPCs are all hanging out in the lobby, and some quests can take a while to complete.
To have an easier time completing these quests, we suggest you head to Settings and turn off Playing, so that you're not dragged into a minigame while you're chasing the objectives. Take a look at the table to see where you can find the quest NPCs.

The Werewolf Epic Mini Games Key Quest
The Werewolf gives you the easiest quest of the three, you just have to talk to him to learn he wants you to banish some ghosts spooking around. In order to do this, you're going to have to buy the Soul Lantern from the shop for 100 tokens.
At this point, don't forget to equip this item from your backpack and talk to The Werewolf again to make sure the ghosts you banish count towards your goal. Just approach the green ghosts that spawn around the lobby and click on them while having your lantern equipped, and you'll get your candy.
Mr Monster Epic Mini Games Key Quest
In the next quest, approach Mr Monster, the Frankenstein in cool glasses, to learn you're going to need to find a specific Trafigurator gun in a random minigame. Much like the list and ingredients items from the Rune assembly process, the gun item is going to glow gold when it spawns in the minigame arena.
Don't forget to equip this item, and also talk to Mr Monster again to progress the quest. Head back to any random minigame and keep playing until you find and shoot three crystallized trick-or-treat buckets to obtain the candy from this quest.
Count Tenance Epic Mini Games Key Quest
For the third and the hardest quest, talk to Count Tenance to start the hunt for three spider eggs hidden all around the lobby area.

| Egg 3 | Left of the middle house, behind some crates across on the island in the corner. Cross the river to get to it. |
Once you have all three, talk to Count Tenance again and you'll be able to select the Monster Melee minigame once for free. Now comes the hard part - you'll have to defeat the spider Venarak in order to win this Monster Melee, but it's easier said than done.
You will have to simultaneously shoot at Venarak while constantly dodging the smaller spiders that hatch from the red eggs the Momma spider keeps dropping. If you're skillful, you can completely ignore the eggs and jump around to focus all your damage on Venarak, but if that doesn't work, the team can split focus with a few players shooting the big spider, while the others deal with the eggs or hatchlings. Venarak will also sometimes do a very strong attack that you can only dodge if you hide behind the rocks that fall from above to form cover for you.
If you fail to win the Monster Melee, you can play any random minigame and find the Egg, which will queue up Monster Melee once again for free. Keep in mind that any other player on the server can also pull you into the Monster Melee, but unless you are at this step of the Count Tenance quest, it won't count for your quest completion!
Having done all three quests, head back to Steve to get the key and complete this part of the Halloween spotlight event!
