Bleach: Soul Resonance is an action-RPG based on the popular manga and anime, which allows you to experience another interpretation of the story, while enjoying the fast-paced combat system that features beautifully crafted animations and voice work from the original cast of the anime. Choosing the best characters to invest in can be difficult at the start, so that's why our Bleach: Soul Resonance Tier List & Reroll Guide is here to help you.
Best Characters in Bleach Soul Resonance Ranked
When making a team in Bleach: Soul Resonance, you need to choose three characters that complement each other, which usually consists of a main damage dealer, a support unit with buffs or debuffs, and a more defensive unit with ways to crowd control the enemies. While the SR characters are clearly weaker than the SSR ones, they still play a useful role while you're filling out your teams and can be very decent supports. Below you'll find our general ranking of all characters in Bleach: Soul Resonance, based on their contribution to the team and overall performance across the different game modes.
S Tier - The Meta Characters
The best characters in Bleach: Soul Resonance that instantly boost your account as soon as you obtain them. Having them in your team makes clearing the game a whole lot easier, either because of their insane damage or their supporting capabilities. If you want to find out which characters you should prioritize, these are the ones.
| Character | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Ichigo Kurasaki - Bankai (SSR) | + The first limited character of the game, and it shows. The damage he does is actually insane when compared to the rest of the roster. + Has very fast combos that leave the enemies little time to react and recover, while his Getsuga Marks let you teleport to them so you're never out of the fight for long. + As impressive as the damage is in his normal state alone, once you use the ultimate and enter Hollowfication Mode, you truly realize why he is the main character of the story, deleting anything that stands in your way. He unlocks new skills, gets a damage boost, and counterattacks all enemies automatically. + You get to hear him shout "Bankai" at the start of every battle, and it only gets cooler each time. |
![]() Kisuke Urahara (SSR) | + The best support in the game on launch by far. He gets stacks of his Reishi Analysis pretty much whenever he does anything, which gives the whole team a 10% attack increase, and can stack up to three times. + Grants the team a 50% Crit Damage bonus whenever he uses his ultimate. + You can add him to any team, and he will instantly make it way better because of the generally good buffs he provides. - His own damage can be somewhat lackluster at times. |
A Tier - Strong Characters
Very strong characters that bring either great damage or awesome utility to your team. While they might not be game-breaking like the ones in the S Tier, these are all great characters that are worth having and can carry you through the game.
| Character | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Kaname Tosen (SSR) | + Very versatile character with high mobility that can serve as your main damage dealer, but shines when paired with Thrust Damage units, so he can use his Co-strike, and jump in and do damage while off the field. + Applies a Wound that can stack up to 30 times, dealing a lot of damage over time and powering up his other skills. + Using the ultimate resets his cooldowns, making it very easy to cycle through your rotation. |
![]() Yoruichi Shihoin (SSR) | + Has lightning-fast attack combos that make it very easy to build up Spiritual Pressure. Her animations are so fast that the enemies can barely react, almost being too fast for even the player to keep up. + At max Spiritual Pressure, she can unleash Thundercrush, an attack that deals high amounts of damage and knocks up any enemies hit. + Her ultimate does high damage and puts her into the Shunko Form, which increases her attack and speed even further. |
![]() Ikkaku Madarame (SSR) | + Amazing area of effect damage, he practically deletes groups of enemies before they even realize what hit them. + Applies Wound with his skills and is a Thrust Damage dealer, making him the perfect partner for Kaname Tosen. + By using his ultimate, you enter the Bankai form, which further boosts his attack, and increases his range even more, and unlocks a finishing move that will force you out of this form, but will do crazy damage that melts even bosses. |
![]() Byakuya Kuchiki (SSR) | + A unique playstyle that encourages you to switch out your characters often, with Byakuya staying on the field to finish his skills, while you're controlling another unit. + Deals a ton of damage off the field with his Battlefield Skill, making him a great secondary damage dealer. |
![]() Uryu Ishida (SR) | + The best SR damage option by far, providing consistent damage from a great range. + Has some amazing area of effect skills with very high damage multipliers, making him a great receiver of buffs, along with being able to do Co-strikes. |
![]() Rukia Kuchiki (SR) | + Very good support with some crowd control in the form of her freezes and some decent area of effect damage. She has a great and flexible Battlefield Skill. + Can work very nicely with any character, making her a good supportive option for any team. |
![]() Yachiru Kusajishi (SR) | + Very good support character with the ability to buff the attack of Slash Damage characters, making her a more focused SR version of Kisuke Urahara. + Works perfectly with Ichigo Kurasaki - Bankai, the best damage dealer in the game. |
B Tier - Decent Characters
While I wouldn't call any of them bad, either their damage doesn't compare to the ones above, or their utility is in a weird spot in the current state of the game, where it's not really needed and doesn't have a home. You can still have success with them, I just don't recommend going out of your way to pull for them or invest in them too much.
| Characters | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Sajin Komamura (SSR) | + Can create a shield to protect himself, while also carrying over to any ally that switches in after him. + His Battlefield Skill costs no energy; instead, you can unleash it every time an ally lands the last hit of a combo or a Technique is used. Pairs very well with Yoruichi Shihoin because of her fast combos. - As much as I personally like him and his animations, the damage he does feels lower than it should be. He functions as a decent support, but not a great one. |
![]() Orihime Inoue (SR) | + A defensive support that provides shielding and healing to allies, helping you stay alive if you're struggling. - The game, as it is right now, doesn't really have a spot for a mostly dedicated healer on your team, making her less useful as you build up your team. This could change with future game modes, though. |
![]() Ichigo Kurosaki - Shikai (SR) | + Decent damage dealer for the star of the game, focusing on building up Spiritual Pressure and enhancing his skills with it. - His main problem is that he has no presence when off the battlefield, like some other units, like Uryu Ishida, and while you can build him as a main damage dealer, you can also easily replace him. |
![]() Renji Abarai (SR) | + Has strong burst area of effect damage that can help you clear large groups of enemies - Much like Ichigo Kurosaki - Shikai, he can be easily replaced by any SSR unit you get, and while he has good burst damage, his sustained damage suffers. |
C Tier - Skippable Characters
Unfortunately, these characters have little to no impact on your team and aren't worth any serious investment. You might use them at the start of the game, but seeing as you only need three members for your squad, they aren't really even usable as placeholders.
| Character | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Ururu Tsumugiya (SR) | + Has a very fun and unique ranged playstyle, and can be decent for early progression. - Doesn't stand up to other DPS units, making her damage very lackluster when compared to them. |
![]() Nemu Kurotsuchi (SR) | + A decent early game support that buffs the attack of allies. - Pretty much no reason to use her over someone like Yachiru Kusajishi. |
![]() Yasutora Sado (SR) | + Tanky unit with animations and an ultimate that look amazing. - Has little to no damage and doesn't bring any utility to the team. |
![]() Ichigo Kurosaki - Initial (SR) | - Sometimes, gacha games give you amazing starter protagonist units. This is not one of those times, unfortunately. |
Bleach: Soul Resonance Reroll Guide
Bleach: Soul Resonance doesn't have any banner or function in-game that lets you reroll your initial pulls. In fact, it makes it harder to reroll your account because the guest account you can create takes up to 30 days to be deleted, which makes it an invalid option for rerolling your account. The only way you can actually do it is to set up a salted email address or have multiple email accounts.
The game gives you a lot of resources for pulling on banners at the start, with lots more for clearing the story mode of the game. Aside from the limited banner, you'll have two versions of the standard character banner. Their version of a beginner banner, called Guardians of Life and Death, guarantees an SSR at 50 pulls and lets you do a 10 pull at a discount of only eight tickets, and the Select Standard Banner, which lets you pick one SSR you want to pull for and guarantees you'll get it, either by luck or at 80 pulls.
If you plan to reroll your account in search of a specific character, do the following:
- Make a new account for the game, ignoring the guest feature, since it won't work for rerolling. Either use one of your multiple email addresses or salt an existing one.
- To salt an email address, you'll need a Gmail account, since it supports this feature. You're basically tricking the game into thinking you're using a new email address, while you're actually just using an "alter ego" for your main one. You do this by adding a "+1" in between your address and the @ symbol. So if your email address is [email protected], turn it into [email protected]. You can repeat this as many times as you want by changing the number at the end. All mail will be sent to your original address.
- Go through the start of the game until you reach level three and unlock the recruit system. This should take around 10-15 minutes.
- Claim all the pre-registration rewards in your mailbox, and you should have about 20 pulls ready to go.
- It's best to use them on the Select Standard Banner, so if you hit an SSR, it's guaranteed to be the one you want, like Kisuke Urahara.
- If you don't manage to get your SSR in those 20 pulls, log out and create a new account, either with a different email address or by increasing the number of your salted email address.
- Repeat the process until you get what you're looking for.
Would I recommend rerolling your account? Not really, at least not to the average player. You'll get an SSR unit pretty fast after you start, and most of them are pretty great, with only Sajin Komamura being a little underwhelming compared to the others, but even he isn't bad. If, however, you plan on maximizing your start and have the patience to reroll multiple times, go for it. I do suggest you only do it if you're trying to get Kisuke Urahara, because he is by far the best standard character in the game.
Bleach: Soul Resonance Tier List & Reroll Guide FAQ
It's always best to use your resources on the limited banner, and it just so happens that the current one has the best DPS unit in the game. You'll get the tickets for the standard banner as you play the game, so eventually you'll have everyone from there.
Yes, you're guaranteed to get the rated-up character after 80 pulls on the banner, but if you happen to pull an SSR before then, it will always be the rated-up one; there are no fifty-fifties that you need to win.
Yes, many of them are great options for your team. While they may not be able to fulfill the role of a main DPS in the long run, they are great supportive units and are easier to upgrade than their SSR counterparts.
