Make sure you set up the best teams in Bleach Soul Resonance!

In Bleach: Soul Resonance, you'll have to assemble teams of three characters that you will take direct control of in action-packed missions, where you'll have to skillfully time your attacks, dodges, and counters in order to win. While most characters in this game are at least good and usable, they don't all work well together, and they shine in specific team setups. Our guide will show you the best teams in the game right now, ranging from premium to more free-to-play friendly ones.

The Best Teams in Bleach: Soul Resonance

There's a lot you have to keep in mind when choosing characters for your teams in Bleach: Soul Resonance, even though you only have to pick three of them. You have to be aware of their attack types and how they work together, because some support units only buff allies of a specific kind, or particular skills trigger only when another ally of a specific kind does something.

You have to balance and keep in mind how much time each character on your team wants to spend on the battlefield. Some characters can jump in and do their job after a few seconds, letting your main DPS units go wild and hog the spotlight. That's why the golden rule is to form teams that consist of one hard carry that will be on the field most of the time, one support unit that can jump in and out to apply buffs and debuffs, and one secondary damage dealer that can do most of their work off the field with their Battlefield skills. With that in mind, below are the best teams in the game right now.

The Meta Ichigo Team

The current strongest team in Bleach: Soul Resonance revolves around the first limited and one of the best characters in thr game, Ichigo Kurosaki - Bankai. The team focuses on giving him as much time on the field as possible, swapping in and out the other characters when their abilities are off cooldown, so they can apply buffs or trigger their off-field damaging abilities, and quickly go back to Ichigo so he can continue dishing out the damage. The team members consist of:

  • Ichigo Kurosaki - Bankai - Undeniably the best DPS unit on release, with some insane damage numbers compared to the rest of the roster. The Getsuga Marks he applies with his Getsuga Tensho technique make it easier to focus them down with his special attacks, while also giving a damage buff. He works very well with crit builds because every excess crit rate gets automatically converted to crit damage. His ultimate Hollowfication is the main start of the show, increasing his damage, enhancing his abilities, and not letting him drop below one HP. You can also activate it again and unleash Deathblow, which does insane damage. All this makes him the best to be on the field as much as possible, making him work well with off-field supports.
  • Kisuke Urahara - The best support in the game is a logical partner for the best DPS in the game. He's an insanely flexible support unit that increases the damage of the whole team with his Reishi Analysis stacks and his ultimate, which gives a crit damage boost for 25 seconds. He can be placed into any team and instantly make it better, but he works especially well for Ichigo Kurosaki - Bankai, because he doesn't have to stay on the field for more than a few seconds each time. You swap him in, do his rotation, and then swap back to a fully buffed Ichigo, and unleash his ultimate.
  • Byakuya Kuchiki - The perfect last addition to the team, being able to dish out his own damage, while also increasing the Slash damage of all allies on his team through his Battlefield skill. His true potential is unleashed here, being able to stay off the field for the most part, maximizing his Noble Dignity passive which gives him a damage boost when off-field. Every time you bring him in and use his technique or ultimate, you can immediately switch back to Ichigo, while Byakuya stays and finishes his abilities, taking up the least amount of time in your active spot as possible, while offering great buffs and damage.

This is by far the best and most efficient team in the game right now, but it's also a very premium team, with three SSR units, one of which is a limited one. Thankfully, the game has a lot of great SR replacements, with the best ones for the Ichigo Kurosaki - Bankai team being:

  • Yachiru Kusajishi - Great off-field support that Spectates your on-field character if you switch her out three seconds after using her technique or ultimate, giving them a 20% attack boost. On top of that, she passively gains ultimate energy and further increases the Slash damage of allies when she unleashes it.
  • Rukia Kuchiki - She is fittingly a great replacement for her brother, Byakuya, with a Battlefield skill that increases all damage from allies. Her kit revolves around applying Freeze to enemies, allowing her to crowd control the battlefield and let your Ichigo destroy enemies that are stuck in place.

The Bleed Team

This team offers a different playstyle that focuses on applying as many Wounds as fast as possible, making it a great choice for enemies with high HP due to the stacking damage over time, while also having some great AoE damage, so that the smaller enemies don't get in the way of your main game plan: bleeding the big enemies to death. For this team, you'll need:

  • Ikkaku Madarame - Your main DPS of the team, able to dish out some great AoE damage due to his range being a bit bigger than most other melee characters. You'll want to get his ultimate online as fast as possible because that's where his true strength lies. Once his Bankai - Ryumon Hozukimaru is online, he becomes a beast, with his range increasing further and his skills enhancing, now able to apply Wounds on all enemies hit. One of the most important parts, though, is that he is a Thrust damage unit, which makes him the perfect partner for Kaname Tosen. His only real problem is that his passive, Today Is My Lucky Day, gives him more damage for reaching living enemies, and seeing as he kills them pretty quickly, he suffers a bit from his own success.
  • Kaname Tosen - While not your main DPS, and he'll be off-field for the most part, he is definitely the star of this team. His Battlefield skill is amazing, giving a 30% Thrust damage bonus to all allies and letting him perform a co-strike from off the field whenever an ally, in this case Ikkaku, deals thrust damage, albeit with a three-second cooldown. All his attacks apply Wounds, making it extremely easy to get to the cap of 30 stacks, which will contribute to insane amounts of damage once you activate Flash Strike. This triggers all wounds on the target. His ultimate works amazingly with the rest of his kit, resetting your Battlefield skill cooldown and energy, speeding up your rotation, and making it so the wounds on the enemies don't go away once triggered.
  • Kisuke Urahara - Get used to seeing him when it comes to the best possible team combinations. He's the most flexible support character in the game, able to fit into any team and buff their damage, regardless of their damage type. This team doesn't have a dedicated thrust damage or bleed-oriented support right now, so Kisuke Urahara is by far the best choice.

I feel like this team will get a more dedicated support in the future that will propel it to an even higher status, but even as is, it's such a fun and effective playstyle. While it doesn't have any limited units, it still consists of all SSR characters, so some SR options you can take are:

  • Uryu Ishida - A good pair with Ikkaku if you lack Tosen. He has a great Battlefield skill that passively increases the team's damage, and can be activated for a burst of AoE damage. His Quincy marks let him do a lot of damage off-field, with the one downside being you'll have to spend a little more time with him on-field to get them stacked up.
  • Orihime Inoue - Provides some nice defense with her heals and shields, while also giving a damage boost to the character that switched in after her. She doesn't have to be on the field much, letting your other units take advantage of that.
  • Renji Abarai - If you lack Ikkaku, Renji can be a good replacement, with his Thrust damage triggering Tosen's off-field combo attacks, while still doing some decent damage himself.

The Cat & The Dog Strike Team

This team takes advantage of how well the two Strike damage SSR units work together, offering both fast-hitting strikes and heavy AoE blows that make the team very flexible and good for any situation. It consists of:

  • Sajin Komamura - He'll spend a lot of time off-field, due to his amazing Battlefield skill that lets him attack every time a Strike damage ally finishes their combo or performs their technique. Every time he does this, he also reduces the enemies' Strike resistance and gains a stack of Build Up, which fuels his ultimate. This is why he isn't a true off-field character, because once you build up your stacks and charge your ultimate, it's his turn on the field. Once Bankai - Kokujo Tengen Myo-oh is active, he becomes the main DPS of the team for a while, dealing a lot of damage with his attacks, which are boosted by the amount of Build Up stacks you accumulated (should always be 10, the full amount).
  • Yoruichi Shihoin - She'll be the one spending most time on the field, with her Strike damage and fast attack combos able to fuel Sajin at a very fast rate. She has great sustained damage and amazing mobility, letting her deal with enemies with ease. A big part of her kit is consistent Spiritual Pressure generation, which lets you spam her special attack with ease. You'll be rewarded for dodging enemy attacks with her by gaining bonus Spiritual Pressure, which lets you perform Hakuda - Stomping Strike, a special attack that also counts as the final attack in your combo, triggering Sajin's off-field attack.
  • Kisuke Urahara - While Nemu Kurotsuchi is a support that was made for this team, unfortunately, she doesn't offer as much as he does. Kisuke Urahara is just too generically good as a support unit, even more so in this team, where you already have two units that want to be on the field whenever possible, so his being able to switch in, do his buffs quickly, and get out is even more valuable.

Here, both Sajin and Yoruichi feel like they share the spotlight, with their playstyles complementing each other and offering great flexibility in your combat approach. While they don't have any real replacements, you can replace the support with:

  • Nemu Kurotsuchi - She's the intended support for this team, with her ultimate increasing the team's Strike damage by up to 15%, if you're willing to work for it. She's a good SR supporting option for the team, but sadly, she gets overshadowed by Kisuke Urahara to an insane degree.

Bleach: Soul Resonance Best Teams FAQ

Can I have more than one battlefield skill in my team?

Nope, even though you can put multiple characters with a battlefield skill in the same team, only one of them can be active at a time. Also, make sure you fulfill the requirements for the skill in the first place.

Are the character-specific stamps needed for these teams?

They're an amazing bonus if you have them, but every character still works great for their team even without them.

Should I focus more on boundaries or character-specific stamps?

While some characters benefit greatly from their first or second boundary, you should always get their stamp first if you're looking to get more out of your units. Not only are they cheaper to get, with a 40 pull pity instead of an 80 one, but they improve the effects that make you want to use the character in the first place.

We hope our Bleach: Soul Resonance Best Teams guide helped you find a team for the units you obtained. Even though these teams are filled with SSR units, the SR units still provide a great replacement option, and you shouldn't ignore them.
