Dungeon Hunters really has players spoiled for choice when it comes to creating the perfect loadout. You’ve got 15+ Weapons of different rarities and elements, which can further be boosted by applying one of the 30+ Traits. Choosing the best ones out of all these options can be difficult, especially if you’re just starting out. That’s where this two-parter Dungeon Hunters tier list comes in!
Dungeon Hunters Weapons Tier List
The general rule of higher rarity = better weapon doesn’t quite apply to the weapons of Dungeon Hunters, mainly because of the Weapons Upgrade mechanic. That’s why we’ve put together this Dungeon Hunters weapons tier list after considering base stats, scaling potential, and elemental effects.
| Tier | Weapons |
|---|---|
| S | Death Scythe |
| A | Floating Canon, Electric Saw, Guitar, Golden Guard |
| B | Magic Book, Shield, Mantis Blades, Scarlet Edge |
| C | Dual Berettas, Bass, Violet Duals |
| D | Hammer, Katana, Saw |

S Tier - Best Weapons in Dungeon Hunters
| Weapon | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
| Death Scythe Mythic | + The best AoE weapon in the game, + Perfect for aggressive gameplay and clearing mobs instantly. + Excellent scaling for late-game grind. |
A Tier
| Weapon | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
| Floating Cannon Mythic | + Long-range line attacks that can clear mobs and elites easily. + Massive AoE Ult that’s highly effective against bosses. + Quick M1s that do serious damage. |
| Electric Saw Legendary | + Fast attacks and low cooldowns. + High burst damage that’s excellent for one-shotting Elites and clearing bosses faster - Slightly difficult to use for beginners because of its melee nature. You need to reposition constantly. |
| Guitar Legendary | + Melee weapon, but the attacks cover a wide radius. + Decent DPS that can easily carry you through early and mid-game content with minimal upgrades. + Highly beginner-friendly. |
| Golden Guard Legendary | + An upgraded version of the Shield that offers better offense and defense balance. + Increased survivability without the damage trade-off. - Late-game scaling is off, but still works as a secondary or tertiary weapon. |
B Tier
| Weapon | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
| Scarlet Edge Mythic | + Fast. Good option if you enjoy high-risk, high-reward gameplay. + Good burst damage that can be very useful against Elites and Bosses. - Requires constant movement because of the melee nature of the attacks. - Poor scaling. Takes up a lot of resources to level up. |
| Magic Book Epic | + Decent weapon for early and mid-game. + Ranged weapon that allows you to clear enemy waves from a safe distance. - Other weapons offer better late-game scaling and damage output. |
| Shield Rare | + Increases survivability. + Good for beginners and players who enjoy a defensive playstyle. - Low damage. Runs become extremely slow if you’re playing solo. |
| Mantis Blades Epic | + One of the best early-game weapons. + High roll chances, so it’s easy to get. + Quick attacks that deal burst damage. - Can’t keep up with stronger mobs, even with upgrades. |
C Tier
| Weapon | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
| Dual Berettas Rare | + Good for early-game grind because of decent range and attack speed. - Low base damage that doesn’t improve much even with upgrades and traits. |
| Bass Rare | + Weak M1s, but skills are decent for the early game. - Massive fall-off in damage as enemies get stronger. - Upgrades can make it stronger, but it’s not worth investing in. |
| Violet Duals Epic | + Good single-target DPS. + Very good [E] skill that can clear mobs. - Lacks range and struggles against Elites and Bosses. |
D Tier
| Weapon | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
| Hammer Common | - Slow M1s.- Low DPS.- High skill cooldowns. |
| Katana Common | + Free to get. - Poor scaling. It starts to struggle once you go past World 1 Chapter 1. |
| Saw Common | - Very limited range. - Poor damage and slow attacks result in very low DPS. - Weak scaling. Upgrades and Traits won’t make much of a difference. |
All Dungeon Hunters Weapon Elements Explained
There are three Weapon Elements in Dungeon Hunters. Each offers different status effects and works best in certain builds/playstyles. See the table below for a detailed breakdown of the elements.
| Element | Effects | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Fire | - Normal attack can apply fire stack for 10 seconds. - Fire-marked mobs take +15% damage. - Skill damage consumes the fire stack, dealing area damage. | Works best with AoE weapons to clear mobs fast. |
| Poison | - Each normal or skill attack can apply one poison stack (Max 15 Stacks) to deal damage over time. - Poison triggers bonus damage based on current stacks. | Works best with high burst and single-target DPS weapons for Elites and Boss fights. |
| Thunder | - Gain one thunder charge per 5 seconds. - Charging only starts when empty. - Attack with a charged weapon consumes the charge and deals extra damage. | Works best with high burst and ranged weapons for all-around clears. |
