Here are the best Hytale weapons from my Survival PVE and dueling PVP server testing. Note that the ranking criteria aren't just DPS but also mobility and some specific traits as you'll see below. Let's start with my Hytale weapon tier list for best weapons and then go into individual ranking notes below.

Best Hytale Weapons Tier List

Before diving into the ranking reasons of this Hytale weapon tier list below, here are some noteworthy considerations:
- Currently, the highest armor tier is Adamantite giving a light attack damage boost so Daggers and Mace benefit from it the most due to speed and base damage respectively (The Axe too but only if you land the third hit in the combo string which can be hard).
- The icons are Iron only for visual purposes but I tested the DPS with Adamantite (I haven't reliably found Mithral yet).
- I am not including weapons like spears, 2-handed swords, guns, etc., from the creative mode since they are unobtainable in Survival yet.
- All weapons (Excluding Shield) currently receive the same stamina damage from blocking giving an edge to Daggers which have the lowest post-block attack lag (You can juggle Mace and Dagger where you block with Dagger and attack with Mace but note that this resets your Q meter every time).

S-Tier Weapons
| S-Tier Weapons | Ranking Explanation Pros & Cons | Special Notes |
|---|---|---|
![]() Daggers | + Best combat and exploration mobility by bunny hopping with the charge attack + Quick finish on the attack string and fast Q move charge up + Spamming charge attack is incredibly safe since it bounces you back and you can also spam charge attack bunny hop for a hit and run tactic - Slightly lower DPS than other weapons - Relies on landing the final attack of the string for optimal damage and Q charge | • You can bunny hop by hitting jump as soon as you hit the ground after the charge attack pounce • You can also drastically increase jump height by jumping slightly before the charge attack fires • Instead of a normal M1 spam until Q, you can increase DPS by charge attacking three times then M1ing until Q comes up • The fact that currently all weapons take the same stamina damage from blocking means that Daggers are the best blocking weapon after Shield |
![]() Two-handed Mace | + Best on-hit damage and overall DPS in the game since each hit deals optimal damage so you don't have to land combo strings + Charges Q fast due to high damage + Charge attack hits multiple enemies - Requires high-tier armor since the charge attack leaves you vulnerable so you'll likely take damage - Slow M1s - Cannot bunny hop | • You can jump before Q to get a greater jump height and better aim in PVP • Q allows you to get out of swarms of PVE enemies or players and reposition with a high damage burst • Make sure to cancel into block mid charge attack if you're low HP and are about to get hit (Also bring lots of cooked food and good armor) • I recommend crafting a Mace and Dagger which is the best combo right now for both DPS and overall combat and exploration mobility |
![]() Bow | + Optimal long-range DPS best used before a fight or after retreating + Can easily be switched to for a quick ranged option unlike the crossbow which needs to be reloaded each time you switch to it + High burst damage Q if you're close - Requires charging M1 and good aim to be viable - You need to be close-to-medium range for optimal damage with Q | • Combos well with the dagger charge attack that dashes you backwards where you can switch to bow and start firing • Always good to have with you and it's much easier to craft it and arrow than in Minecraft |
A-Tier Weapons
| A-Tier Weapons | Ranking Explanation Pros & Cons | Special Notes |
|---|---|---|
![]() One-handed Sword | + Usable with the shield so you get the lowest stamina damage from blocking and can shield bash push which is good against multiple enemies + Can bunny hop with the charge attack for a safe hit-and-run playstyle + Offers a balanced offense to defense playstyle thanks to the shield - Lowest DPS | • Note that the second hit from Q comes after a small delay and requires you to readjust aiming • You can charge attack bunny hop by hitting jump as soon as you land for great traversal mobility similar to the dagger |
![]() Hand Crossbow | + Higher burst damage than the bow + Usable with the shield so you get the lowest stamina damage from blocking and can shield bash push which is good against multiple enemies - Requires reloading - Cannot combo well with other weapons since it doesn't save your reload and you'll have to reload again each time you switch to it - Q charges slowly | • Can be good if you're focusing on it early but falls off later in terms of DPS • They need to add a feature where the reloads save if you switch to another weapon, then it's S-Tier since you can prep the burst when you need it |
B-Tier Weapons
| B-Tier Weapons | Ranking Explanation Pros & Cons | Special Notes |
|---|---|---|
![]() Two-handed Axe | + Second-highest on-hit damage after Mace + You can bunny hop with the charge attack after landing for mobility and safety + Decent AOE capabilities with Q - Awkward DPS since it relies on landing the final hit of its combo string for optimal damage which is hard with a slow weapon - Slow M1s and slow Q charge time - Q leaves you vulnerable for a lengthy period of time | • Requires a bunny hop charge attack spam playstyle to be safe in end-game zones where you charge attack, hit and then hit jump as soon as you land to continue momentum • In PVP it's easy to dodge the final combo string hit that deals a lot of damage |
