Roblox BedWars Summer Event Guide – Swords, Inflatable Beds & more

The Summer Event has come to BedWars!

The Summer Event in Roblox BedWars brings about a new game mode that introduces the Giant Needle, Water Pistol, Water Balloon, Soaking Mechanic and the inflatable bed. Basically, to destroy the inflatable bed you will have to pierce it with the needle, but it can be fixed by using the duct tape. The damage you have taken in this game mode is measured by how wet you are, with all of the aforementioned weapons dealing soaking damage. However, you can undo this damage by drying off in the sun.

Roblox BedWars has gotten a Summer Event. It functions as a separate game mode that switches things up by introducing the soaking mechanic, new swords, water weapons, inflatable beds, and more. Stick around for this detailed guide if you want to find out everything there is to know about it!

Regular beds have been replaced by inflatable ones in the BedWars Summer Event, and the method of destroying it is also different. Rather than hacking at it with your axe, you now have to puncture it by using the Giant Needle, which will be added automatically to your inventory. It will replace the sword you are probably accustomed to. Puncturing the bed will cause it to deflate, taking damage in the process. If no action is taken while this is happening, it will deflate entirely and lose all of its HP, making you unable to respawn when you die.

The main difference between the inflatable and the regular bed is that the regular one can take some damage and be just fine if you manage to defend it, while the inflatable one continuously loses health over time until it gets destroyed. Thankfully, this process is not irreversible; you can patch it up with duct tape, allowing you to keep fighting and respawning if you die. However, do be aware that lost bed HP is irrecoverable, and subsequent punctures will only result in the bed having a shorter and shorter time before it deflates. The duct tape is yet another item that will be in your inventory by default, so you do not have to worry about how or where you will find it.

Important information: Even though the Giant Needle looks like a melee weapon and replaces the sword in the inventory, it cannot be used in melee! Some players have, however, circumvented these limitations by hacking or exploiting a bug, getting into Summer Event games with full-fledged standard swords and gaining a huge advantage over other players. If you spot this in the game, we highly suggest poking away at them with your water pistol or other ranged kits.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the beds can sustain more punctures at the same time, causing them to deflate much faster. All of these punctures will need to be mended with duct tape to keep the bed in play.

How to Use the Water Pistol in the BedWars Summer Event

The Water Pistol in the BedWars Summer Event will be your main way of dealing damage to enemy players. Shooting them will show a soak meter above their heads, and it will gradually begin to fill up the more you manage to hit them. When it fills out entirely, they will die and be forced to respawn (if they still have their inflatable beds). As for how best to use them, we highly recommend switching to first-person view, since the pistol's fire rate is not amazing and the water projectiles take a long time to travel. All of this will make landing hits in third person all but impossible.

The pistol itself obviously uses water as ammo, and you will get roughly 20 shots before it runs completely dry. You can alleviate this issue by returning to your base and refilling it at the water tank, which will always be there. To recall, simply press the "c" key, and you will be there in a few seconds. Alternatively, there will be several other water tanks scattered on the map, so you might even want to consider rushing towards them as they will provide a great outpost for you and your team's future fights. You can even refill your pistol from the water tanks in enemy bases, so if you, for example, see that a fight for an enemy base is going well and will be won soon, we advise pressing your advantage even if you are close to running out of water, since you can quickly recover it there.

Getting soaked is not irreversible, since you can simply sit out in the sun for a couple of seconds and begin drying off, entirely reversing the effect of being hit with the water pistol multiple times. However, it goes without saying that the more you get hit, the more you will be forced to wait in the sun to dry off completely. Thankfully, you can still move while you are doing this; just make sure not to wander into the shade, or you will stop drying and have to wait for the process to initiate again once you step into the sun.

A passing mention should also be made that the void has been filled with water. While you can swim in it and use that fact to make crazy and unexpected plays, you will still take soaking damage over time as if you were continuously getting shot at with the water pistol. This is still quite a large shakeup in BedWars gameplay as you can cover much larger distances than in usual game modes since you do not need to keep re-acquiring building blocks to travel from one island to another. Use this information carefully and plan your routes accordingly!

The Water Balloons are an alternative method of dealing damage to enemy players. While you do not start off with them in your inventory, they will randomly spawn across the map, allowing you to pick them up. Once you have done so, you will have to fill them with water the same way you did the Water Pistol, and that is by using one of the several Water Tanks scattered across the map. To use them, simply toss the filled ones at your enemies, and they will get soaked. Be careful of the friendly fire, though!
