There a total of three secret units in Anime Origins. They are Valcrad, Madaro and Cursed Lover. Valcard can be obtained from the summoning banner but only once you have reached level 10. Madaro can be gained as a reward for completing the Legend Stages inside the story (campaign) mode, and the Cursed Lover can be randomly acquired while clearing Rifts.
Anime Origins has a wide variety of units, with some standing well above others. The best and the rarest ones in particular are the Secret Units, which will propel your power levels to insane heights. However, since they can be very difficult to obtain, we have decided to create this comprehensive guide detailing exactly how to get all of them, so make sure to keep reading!
What are the Secret Units in Anime Origins
As of the time of this guide's release, there are a total of 3 unique secret units in Anime Origins. They are Valcrad, who is based off of Alucard from Hellsing, Madaro who is essentially just Madara from Naruto, and Cursed Lover, based off of Yuta from Jujutsu Kaizen. You can check them out in the Unit Index, which can be accessed by talking to Raiden, an NPC sitting on the right side of the Summoning room. This room itself is visible as soon as you spawn in the game, and it is tucked in between the Story and Raid rooms, so you should not have much trouble finding it.
Keep in mind that the index will be showing 6 different Secret units. This is because the three aforementioned ones can be evolved, which technically turns them into a different unit and makes them count as such. While we have a separate guide detailing exactly what all possible evolved unit variants are, in short you should know that Valcrad becomes Valcrad Unleashed, Madaro turns into Madaro (Edo Tensei), and Cursed Lover transforms into Cursed Lover (Pure Love). Once evolved, they become much stronger versions of themselves, with a different set of significantly more powerful abilities. In fact, they become arguably the best units inside Anime Origins. To evolve them, make sure to obtain their base versions first. Once you have done so, head into the "Evolve" room which is wedged between the Challenge and Leaderboard rooms, and talk to the Mokito NPC, who will walk you through the rest of the process.
How to Obtain Valcrad in Anime Origins
To obtain Valcrad in Anime Origins, you will have to get him from the summoning banner. To do that, either press the "summon" button on the left side of your screen or manually go to the summoning room. Regardless of how you got there, speak to the Mysa NPC which is standing in the middle of it, and she will open up the summoning menu. However, keep in mind that you must be at least level 10 to get him as a drop, and even then your chances are minuscule: only 0.01%.
With that said, it is easy to see that you will need to be performing lots of summons, which are not free, but rather cost gems. To that end, you will want to acquire as many of them and you can do so in the following ways: redeeming playtime rewards, completing and redeeming quest rewards, collecting daily login rewards, leveling up your battle pass (which you do by killing enemies inside the game), farming them in the AFK chamber, and participating in regular gameplay such as Story and Raids. How to Unlock Madaro Secret Unit in Anime Origins
If you want to obtain Madaro, you will have to complete the legend stages inside the story mode and hope that he drops as a reward from them. Keep in mind that these stages only become available after you have completed all of the regular story stages, which means that you will have to be playing for quite some time in order to even unlock them. The legend stages offer some of the most difficult gameplay experiences you will get from Anime Origins, so make sure to start tackling them only if you are sufficiently strong.
To access the story stages, press the "play" button on the left side of your screen and select the middle option. This will take you to the Story room, which you can also access manually by walking to it. Select the stage you wish to play by entering a portal of your choice, one of the ones that are scattered all across the room's walls.
How to Get the Cursed Lover in Anime Origins
The Cursed Lover secret unit can randomly be obtained while clearing Rifts, which are special portals that randomly and periodically appear on the Anime Origins map. You can usually keep track of this in the bottom right corner of your screen, since there will be a countdown timer when a rift is about to spawn. As for the drop rates themselves, while the exact numbers remain unknown, it seems that you will have better chances to get Cursed Lover the further you make progress inside the Rift.
