Anime Origins Tier List - Best Units [RELEASE]

Our Anime Origins tier list is where I'll separate the units that can carry you from the ones that are mostly there to look nice. Though, to be fair, this game has plenty of unique anime characters compared to your standard ATD lineup. We’ve ranked best Anime Origins units from S to C tier based on abilities, passives, rarity, and overall value, and we’ll keep updating the list as we test more units and learn the meta.

Pre-release note: This Anime Origins tier list is based on currently available unit information and early kit details. Placements are preliminary and will change as full stats, upgrades, traits, elements, and hands-on testing become available.

As I’ve stated above, please keep in mind that this tier list is still in its very early stages and is a work in progress. The game has just launched, and I’m actively testing units as I pull them, while also taking the time to evolve and ascend them. That process will obviously take a while, so for now, the tier list above should be treated more as a rough assessment than a definitive, objective ranking.

So please, bear with me and make sure to come back over the weekend, as I’ll keep updating the list regularly while I play the game and learn how all the units perform across various game modes. With that said, here’s my early evaluation of some of the most important units in the game right now.

NOTE: This list focuses only on Secret, Mythic, and Exclusive units because those are, as we all know, the ones that are truly important and meta-worthy. When it comes to Legendary and Epic units, with a few exceptions, you’ll mostly use them only during the first hour or so of play, so they aren’t really worth including in the tier list and would only clog up the table.

S Tier — Meta Units
Cursed Lover (Pure Love) Secret S Tier	Copy is the big reason to watch Cursed Lover. Being able to store up to four copyable Active Abilities gives him ridiculous potential flexibility depending on what other top units can offer. He isn't relying on utility alone either. Lingering Queens Heads adds recurring bonus AOE damage, while Love Beam delivers a five-hit attack worth a total of 300% Damage. His kit already has the kind of ceiling you'd expect from a top-end Secret.
Valcrad (Unleashed) Secret S Tier	Valcrad has an unusually stacked kit: +15% Crit Chance, permanent Range scaling from crits, bonus Damage around bleeding enemies, summons, and progression through Restriction levels. Coffin Trap may be his nastiest utility tool, giving him a seven-second Boss Stun when the target crosses the trap. Each Boss can only be caught once, but that's still a huge control window. Restriction Release also makes him look particularly dangerous in longer stages where he has enough kills to reach his stronger forms.
Madaro (Edo Tensei) Secret S Tier	Madaro looks built for heavy AOE pressure. Every fifth attack triggers an additional 75% Damage strike and applies Calamity, which can repeat part of the damage he deals while the mark is active. Heaven Splitter adds a massive 500% Damage active with reach extending up to three times his normal Range, while his defensive passive can protect him from enemy debuffs and Crowd Control. Yasaka Beads also punish enemies that escape his Range, giving him another layer of damage and a three-second Stun against low-health targets. There's a lot going on here, and almost all of it looks useful.
Bluma (Data Analyst) Mythic S Tier	Bluma is the obvious farm pick so far. Units inside her Range generate Training Data through kills, gradually unlocking increasingly strong Income bonuses. The final checkpoint reaches +30% Income at 380 Data, giving her serious scaling potential in longer modes where economy matters more with every passing wave. Her actual value will depend on placement cost, upgrade prices, and how quickly Training Data stacks in real matches, but the economy ceiling alone makes her a must-have farm unit.
A Tier — Very Good Units
Yoto (Calamity) Exclusive A Tier	Evaluation in progress.
Zeldo (Piety) Mythic A Tier	Evaluation in progress.

Vegita (Super) Mythic A Tier	Evaluation in progress.
Starku (Primordial) Mythic A Tier	Evaluation in progress.
Tojei (Sorcerer Killer) Mythic A Tier	Evaluation in progress.
Igritto (Commander) Mythic A Tier	Evaluation in progress.
Noroto (Linked) Mythic A Tier	Nine-Tails' Cloak gives Noroto a strong recurring power spike after he builds 10 Chakra, boosting Damage by 25%, reducing Cooldown by 20%, and increasing Range by 15% for 20 seconds. During the transformation, every third attack also triggers a small AOE burst for 50% Damage, so the Cloak boosts both his raw output and wave-clearing potential. The downtime between transformations keeps him below the obvious S-tier kits for now, but his powered state looks excellent on paper.
B Tier — Decent Units
Roxi (Mage) Mythic B Tier	Evaluation in progress.

Konpatchi (Unleashed) Mythic B Tier	Evaluation in progress.

Itsugo (Dangai) Mythic B Tier	Evaluation in progress.
Gyutari (Upper Moon) Mythic B Tier	Evaluation in progress.
Goju (Honored One) Mythic B Tier	Goju's known kit is utility-heavy. Infinity nullifies attacks directed at him, potentially making him extremely difficult for enemies to disrupt. Infinity Expansion applies a 30% Slow for six seconds to enemies that stay inside his Range long enough, which could be useful against tanky targets and long paths. The problem is that I don't yet know enough about his actual damage output. Until then, his defensive tools and delayed Slow are easier to justify in B than among the top carries.
