In Mine a Mountain, there are six unique weather events and they are: Rain, Blizzard, Acid Rain, Thunder, Starfall and Aurora. However, there are several noteworthy bugs that might prevent you from partaking in the Weather Events, so make sure to stay updated about them.

What are the Weather Events in Mine a Mountain
There are a total of six different weather events in Mine a Mountain. They are as follows: Rain, Blizzard, Acid Rain, Thunder, Starfall and Aurora. Once they take place, any of the mined crystals or the ones already present on the map will have a chance of getting the corresponding mutations.
Mutations are positive multipliers added to crystals that make them worth more money than their standard counterparts. So, if you want to make money quickly, we strongly suggest playing the game while a weather event is active. since you will be able to do that significantly quicker and easier. While all of the weather events are decent in their own right in Mine a Mountain, the best ones you should be looking out for are the Starfall and Aurora ones, since their crystal mutations will be the ones that are most valuable out there.
Bug: As of July 11th 2026, the weather events have been temporarily disabled due to a mismatch in corresponding crystal mutations given by bombs and weather, while they should have been exactly the same. For example, the Thunder weather event was supposed to give the same 1.7x sale price and 1.5 crystal garden luck multipliers, just like the Thunder Bomb, and the Acid Rain weather was supposed to provide you with a 1.6x crystal sale value and 1.5 plot luck multipliers, same as the Poison Bomb. Thankfully, the admins seem to be aware of this issue as per the game's official Discord server, and are working towards fixing it as soon as possible.
Bug #2: Also as of July 11th 2026, trying to poison your previously owned Wet mutated crystals via the usage of Poison Bombs (combining mutations in order to increase a crystal's value) seems to completely cancel out the Wet mutation. Sadly, this seems to be a very recent bug and the exact status of its fix remains unknown.
When do the Weather Events Happen
As per information gathered from the game's official Discord server, the Weather Events in Mine a Mountain usually take place twice a day and during Admin Abuses. However, it seems that none of the player base knows exactly when this should happen during a day. Furthermore, due to the existence of the bug that forced the devs to temporarily disable weather events, you probably won't be able to partake in them around July 11th 2036.
Given what we have just said, the only two surefire methods of knowing when the weather events are taking place inside the game are to either be constantly online until they occur (which is difficult because of the 20 minute inactivity kick), or to keep checking the game's Discord, which by far the easier task.
