The Lore Expansion Update in Animal Hospital brings plenty of new content, including another Special Shift, more interactions for Liz, and a lore expansion as well as a secret interaction for Dr. Harlow. How to Trigger the Dr. Harlow Secret Interaction in Animal Hospital
To trigger the Dr. Harlow secret interaction (added with the Lore Expansion Update), you need to first unlock Dr. Harlow’s office and then give him Ratthew’s Golden Key. Once you give him the key, the secret interaction will begin.
To continue the interaction, you can do the following things:
- Pick up the book from the shelf to the left side of Dr. Harlow’s table and show it to him. He will talk about the author of the book.
- Pick up the To-Do list from the shelf right behind him and show it to him.
- Pick up the Testimony Reports from the top of the shelf in the right corner of Dr’ Harlow’s office and show it to him for more information.

How to Enter Dr. Harlow’s Office in Animal Hospital
Dr. Harlow’s office is behind the No Access door that you see to the right of the Shop in Animal Hospital. But with the Lore Expansion Update, you can now enter that area after completing the Dr. Harlow Event.
As you’re completing shifts, you’ll notice Dr. Harlow walk out of the hospital and talk to people from the Animal Corp. After 2 to 3 dialogues, Dr. Harlow will eventually become available for an interaction as he stands near the entrance with a few boxes on the floor.
Go and interact with him, and he’ll ask you to pick up the boxes and follow him. Keep following him and you’ll end up in his office. There, you can finally snoop through his office and even trigger the new Secret Interaction if you have the Golden Key given by Ratthew.

Animal Hospital Lore Expansion Update FAQs
The Easter Egg added to Animal Hospital with the Lore Expansion Update is a plushie of The Deer from 99 Night in the Forest. You can find the Easter Egg in the corner of the waiting area outside Dr. Harlow’s office. This Easter Egg could be hinting at an Animal Hospital x 99 Night in the Forest collaboration.
The Rain Special Shift, added to Animal Hospital with the Lore Expansion Update, can trigger after Shift 2. During the Rain Special Shift, animals with aquatic skins will walk into the hospital. They also speak a different language, making it slightly more difficult for you to spot anomalies. But use the camera wisely, and you can easily spot the anomalies because they behave similarly to the normal anomalies.
With the Lore Expansion Update, an extended Liz interaction has also been added to the game. When you help her get the required pictures, she comes back after a few shifts to share the news about her article getting published in the Animal News magazine.
