Anomalies in Keep the Door Locked often have some physical abnormalities that are obvious either through the peephole or the camera. However, some require special steps to complete on top of keeping the door locked, which is where we come in. If you want to know whether the Pizza Guy is safe, if you should eat the Cake, or let the Nun in for a ritual, our checklist below for all Anomalies in Keep the Door Locked will be useful.
To earn money in Keep the Door Locked, you have to let the guests in, but only the right ones, and not the Anomalies. If you want to avoid getting killed in your sleep by a foolish mistake, make sure to read our helpful guide below.
How to Recognize Every Anomaly in Keep the Door Locked
One good thing about Keep the Door Locked is that you only need to let one person inside to be able to sleep. As soon as you know a Person is not an Anomaly, you should let them come inside and go to sleep to avoid losing lots of Sanity. But how can you tell who is an Anomaly in Keep the Door Locked, and who isn't? That's where our chart comes in!
Important: The first person to knock on your door on the first night is always a regular human, so just let them come inside without checking. This isn't the case during Bloodmoon, which is a harder mode. If you are playing Bloodmoon, make sure to check every visitor, even the first one!
Anomalies with Physical Abnormalities

Let's start with the basics, regular Anomalies that don't require any extra steps, just keeping the door locked. If you see anything physically wrong with a Human, like broken arms, twitching body movement, broken neck, long arms that's an Anomaly and you should keep the doors locked. Make sure to check the cameras as well, since it's not always as obvious when you check the door.
Something Translucent
The Translucent effect only shows up on camera, so you need to be checking it all the time, unless you want to get killed in the middle of the night. If you see your own door through their body, it's an Anomaly so keep it locked.
Knife Man

Knife Man always comes on day 3 of Keep the Door Locked. In this instance, he won't do anything. He'll just frighten you a bit, then leave. The real trick is when he shows back up on day 6. You'll know he's back by a phonecall from the front desk, as well as the Knife Man himself knocking on your door again.
The real danger is not at this moment, but rather just before you go to sleep. As you've been warned, you have to switch off the lights in your room prior to going to your bed. If you leave the lights on, the Knife Man will kill whoever is in the room with you, and then you as well, ending your run.
In the Bloodmoon Mode, the Knife Man won't give you any warning. The first time he shows up during day 3 is when you should switch off the light. If you forget to do so, you will be killed and end your run early.
Homeless Man

A Homeless Man will knock on your door asking you for some money. You can choose to either open the door for him or keep it locked. If you give him money, he says he will repay you for your kindness. If you don't give him money, he tries to break in, but it doesn't work. In both cases, neither of the choices seem to affect the outcome of your run.
Door Breaker

The Homeless man fails at breaking down your door, but the Door Breaker, unsurprisingly, doesn't fail. It's a tall, very creepy creature that will scream in your face when you peek at it. You'll have a couple of seconds to get under the bed before it comes in. It will go to the side of the bed, stay there for a few seconds more, then leave. As soon as it is out, get out from under the bed. Staying under drains your Sanity because of Anxiety.
Room Hider
The Room Hider can't physically harm you, but it will keep taking out notches of your Sanity by jumpscaring you. It will hide somewhere in the room, most often under the bed or behind the closet, until you look over. It will go away along with your insanity.
The Ghost

If you start hearing murmurs, footsteps, and overall creepy sounds from the window, then the Ghost is active in Keep the Door Locked. It has three stages, after which it will break into the room and kill you. The goal is to stop the Ghost from completing all three stages. You do so by opening the curtains and looking at it until it runs away, basically resetting it to stage one.
Opening the curtains will start reducing your Sanity, so I have a little useful tip for you. Instead of opening the windows, look down between the blinds. You will most often be able to spot it in the trees without having to actually open the curtains. If it's there, open them to scare the Ghost off, then close them back quickly.
Pizza Guy

Good news! The Pizza Guy in Keep the Door Locked is never an Anomaly! That means it's super safe to open the door and grab a Pizza which can increase your Sanity. There are seven pizza slices that can be useful in situations when your Sanity drops too low.
Error Signal Lost

The Signal Lost Error on your laptop is a minor Anomaly that doesn't harm you, but it can waste precious seconds. All you have to do is reboot your laptop and the camera will be up and running again.
Breaker Failure
Another Technical Anomaly that turns off the Power in your apartment. You have to go outside and into the hallway behind the stars to turn the Power Breaker back on. Most of the time, you will just lose a lot of Sanity just for being outside, but nothing will attack you. From personal experience, you are never safe though, since I got attacked and killed by Jade while out in the hallway.
Cake

You will hear a knock and see a clown as well as some Cake in the hallway. This may seem like trick to lure you into a mouse trap, but it's really not. Open the door and grab the Cake as earing it will restore your Sanity.
Hazmat Guys

Not to be confused with the one Hazmat Guy that can be an Anomaly. This duo always comes on Day 4, and they talk about the Spider Event to you. They are regular humans and are safe to invite to sleep over. They should be your choice of roommates for the night as they will also help you out with a certain spidery problem.
Spiders

Spiders will show up on the room's ceiling. You can usually hear their many feet pattering around, it sounds very creepy. If they spend too long on your ceiling, the Spiders will explode. Don't get caught under them, or they can cause you some serious harm.
Spiders can be taken care of by Spider Spray. Keep in mind that you have a limited quantity of Spider Spray, only three if you're just starting the game. You can also get more Spider Spray uses by purchasing them through the Upgrades section in the Lobby.
The first Spider you see on Day 4 you should leave alone. Just after it shows up, the Hazmat Guys will knock on your door. Let them in and they will take care of that Spider in the morning. This way, you don't waste any of your Spider Spray and can save it up for a different Spider encounter.
Tall lady

The Tall Lady is a ghostly, thin figure that will knock on your door and just stare at you, saying nothing. You can neither open the door nor lock it, so what do you do? Step away from the door and head to the Laptop. Mind you, you are going to be jumpscared when you get on it. Just stare at her until she turns around and tries to scare you through the camera.
Scientist

The Scientist can show up as a regular Human looking for safety, in which case you should test to see if it's an Anomaly, as he can be a Translucent one. If the Scientist comes in offering you a special solution to restore your Sanity, take it. It will recover some of your Sanity. I've had the fortune of almost dying to the Vent Creature due to no Sanity, and then got the Scientist at my door twice in a row offering me the cure. It really was a life-saving cure in my case.
Floor Crawler

Not to be confused with the Room Hider! While the Room Hider's goal is to quickly jumpscare you and leave, the Floor Crawler is a lot more dangerous. Every time it gets near you, it will start screaming, taking off a notch of your Sanity.
It can, if you are unsure what to do like I was the first time encountering it, even drop down your entire Sanity to zero. As soon as it drops down from the vent, get onto the bed until it leaves back up.
Shadow Figure

Even before you actually see it, you will get a warning that the Shadow Figure is in the room. Your Sanity ill start dropping and the reason for it is because you are being watched by someone, or something.
If you're on the door interacting with someone, stop as quickly as you can so that you don't lose too much of your Sanity. The Shadow Figure is usually in the corner, so just turn on the Flashlight and point it at the Figure until it disappears.
Day ???
If you see the Day counter show up as question marks instead of an actual number, then you are heading to a Lucid Dream. Just keep walking towards the flashing light in the hallway and away from the bed, and you will be out of the dream in no time.
Guy Banging Head Against Door

Knocking normally isn't really cool to this guy, he likes doing it with his head. This Anomaly in Keep the Door Locked can get inside, which is why you need to play the mini game. Click when the moving line is inside the thin stripe. It's not too thick but the minigame is lenient and lets you make a few mistakes without any risk.
Hands
The Hands will randomly appear in Keep the Door Locked and this Anomaly will teleport you into a different area. You need to keep following the lights until you can be back in the real world again. This new area also drains your Sanity, so make sure to get out quickly.
Roach King

The Roach King will show up when you have food inside the room, either Pizza or Shawarma. It will ask for your food, and the easiest thing to do is to let him in and take some of it. The Roach King takes more Pizza slices than Shawarma.
John Pork

John Pork is another visitor like the Pizza Guy. He will provide you with Shawarma that can restore your Sanity. It's more expensive but it also restores more of your Sanity, so it's definitely worth it.
Wendigo

The Wendigo is another creature like the Ghost that shows up at your window. The goal is to not move when it shows up. You will get a prompt so you know not to move. Just standing still will make it go away, just hope there aren't any Spiders around to explode above your head.
Nun

The Nun in Keep the Door Locked wants to enter your room to complete a ritual. So long as you don't bother her or step into her circle, she will complete the ritual and leave in the morning.
Jade

Jade is a Weeping Angel type of Anomaly in Keep the Door Locked. If you spot it, make sure to not take your eyes off it, as you will get killed the moment you aren't looking.
