Supply Drops will now guarantee crate weapons in late game for Apex Legends

Crate weapons for all.

Season 11: Escape has brought a plethora of changes to Apex Legends, including quite a few changes to how neutral Supply Drops work in Battle Royale mode. While not present in Lifeline’s Care Packages, the neutral Supply Drops can often include crate weapons. Crate weapons are Heirloom-tier in rarity and are some of the most powerful weapons in the game.

That said, previously, the chances of getting a crate weapon were not that great. Supply Drop weapon chances used to begin in early rounds at 25%, and only rise to 75% by the late game. This means that while there was a good chance of getting a crate weapon near the end of a game, it was not guaranteed.

This made the Supply Drops not really worth going for to a lot of people, however, Season 11 is changing all of that. Starting on November 2, early game Supply Drops will have a 50% chance of having a crate weapon, increasing until late game where there will now be a 100% guaranteed crate weapon inside.

This will both encourage players to go for late game Supply Drops, and make Support Legends Loba’s ability to steal from them all the more deadly. This change does not affect Arenas.
