How to tell your teammates you are out of ammo in Apex Legends

Out of ammo, but not out of the fight.

In Apex Legends, ammo is a valuable resource. If you run out in a fight, you’re often out of luck. That said, there are times where your teammates can share ammo, give you extra time to find some, or be more cautious and patient if they know that is the case. So, how do you alert your team that you’re out of ammo? Here is how to do it.

The easiest way to tell your teammates you are out of ammo is to open your inventory screen and ping the weapon that you don’t have any more ammo for. If you are low on ammo in your inventory but not quite out, it will just show your remaining ammo in the quick chat. If you don’t have any ammo left in your inventory, it will show a 0 in the quick chat and send out a voice line to your teammates saying you are out of ammo.

Now, it is important to note that being “out of ammo” in Apex Legends means none of a certain type left in your inventory. Even if you have some ammo left in the gun itself, it will still register as “out of ammo” on ping.
